Russia unhappy about China's production of J-16 fighter

If China already has the know how, then Russia can't complain. The Flankers are one of the best air frame designs and China will utilize it to the best it can. The J-16 is a variant of the Flanker family, but not a "copy" of the Su-30MK2, because engine, electronics, and weapons are different. Su-27, 30, 33, 34 and J-11B, 15, and 16 all belong to the Flanker family, but they are not copies of each other.

Erm, you do realize that many Chinese and Russian modern fighters descends from Su-27, which is an USSR production right? Of course they looks similar.

I would not use the word "copy", it is too demeaning and that word is reserve for the US tactic. Our Russian friend is more understanding than that. Instead I would use the word "influence" because it is true we have a lot of influence from the Soviet era weapon design due to the fact we use them as our main system for a long time. However we are slowly changing and it will take time.

Well Russian , concerns will be address by China by a big order of Trade agreements and Bilateral agreements to promote economy between two nations.

Russia is a constant supplier of Planes & Parts to China

why russian are unhappy? it is because china using the domestic engine soon on the body of sukhoi? or they unhappy soon when the chinese master the engine and stop buying they Jet?

ahahahah...of course it because they dont want to lose their dollars from this big market, same with India, they will want to keep them both in dependence forever, which means good business for their arms industry which have been facing financial difficulties after the break up of the U.S.S.R and now sanctions from us. Ask yourself if Russia losses its biggest markets in China, India, Vietnam etc, where will its arms industry be? Afterall, you people are their biggest customers/market.

I have been saying this to the Indians, Chinese, Vietnamese and other Russian 'allies/supporters' on here before. Russia will always try to keep you permanently depedent on them. (though i must confess we do the same thing with others as well.)
