Russia to build nuclear aircraft carrier by 2023

Besides not having anything to do with the topic your post is immature.

Size does not equate to quality, China's semiconductor industry is based off of production of cheap consumer goods such as phones, toys, ect. Tell me why is your semiconductor unable to meet Chinas’ requirements? What kind of fire and control radar does the Type 052C and Type 054A ships have--it's Russian what about anti-submarine helicopters? Where did those come from? What about the PL-12 seeker? It is also Russian. The list goes on...but tell me if the Russian semiconductor industry is so bad and the Chinese semiconductor industry is so superior why is it that Russian electronics mysteriously keep finding there way into Chinese weapons?

The Type 051C uses the Russian missile defence system, whereas the Type 052C is completely indigenous.

Type 052C destroyer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Russian MR331 Mineral-ME (with NATO reporting name Band Stand) fire-control radar (for anti-ship missile and for the main gun as its secondary mission) was capable of over the horizon targeting, and it has been installed on other newly built PLAN ships

Like the Sovremenny class destroyers, the ASW weaponry on board Type 052C destroyer is mainly for self-defense, since it is a class of air-defense destroyer. The ship is equipped with hull-mounted SJD-8/9 medium-frequency hull-mounted active–passive sonar, which is a development of French DUBV-23 sonar
The same Kavant Design Bureau of Ukraine that had provided China with cooling technologies for the radar antenna earlier also provided technical expertise in integrating the active phased array radar with ESM.

The ship’s propulsion is in the form of CODOG, consisting of two Ukraine-made DA80/DN80 gas turbines

Quite a few systems are based off of forign designs, not to mention the technical assistance China received from Ukraine as well as engines.

Chinese electronics have found their way into the F-15 so does that mean that China is suddenly world leader in semiconductors such that even mighty USA has to use our components?

Do you even know wtf the semiconductor industry is? Phones, etc. are devices, not semiconductor components. SMIC is in the business of components manufacturing, HARDLY consumer products. Huawei went into the business of devices LAST, after it set up the capital goods branch of Huawei Telecom Networks which services major corporations and governments for the very important, national security critical telecom network. Not 1 of the companies I listed is in the business of consumer goods either exclusively or majorly, as you can tell by Huawei Telecom Networks making over 4 times the money as Huawei Devices did.

On the other hand Russia has yet to show it can even compete in FABLESS electronics. Fabless companies don't have their own manufacturing units and need only "theoretical design" while outsourcing production so apparently Russians aren't that smart - they can't even do theoretical design and are so bad at it, a tiny no name designer of chips called Spreadtrum dwarfs 1/3 of their entire semiconductor industry.

That's why we just build another 4 Type 052C++, because we had recently mastered the gas turbine technology for the large destroyer, even it can go up to 10,000+ tons. That's why our next large destroyer Type 052D gonna reach that level.

BTW, is this one the CVN that Putin has planned to build in the future? :what:

WTF? This monster is even larger than the Nimitz class!

Big...big difference between purchasing entire systems (radars, seekers, engines ect) and purchasing cheap processors. Also where is the link to this F-15 transaction?

A phone is just one example of a 'device' which relies on the semiconductor industry, so something such as a cell phone is largely possible because of the semiconductor industry. When SMIC manufactures those components what do you think happens after words? All of those components from SMIC or any other Chinese semiconductor company finds its way to consumer good, whether it be cell phones, toys, televisions, radars, ect. The point is that given Chinas' large population and the demand for consumer goods as well as the sheer amount of goods China exports there is no surprise that China's semiconductor industry is so large.

 yet as I said before our electronics keep on finding there way into China. Military electronics are by far the most advanced systems on earth--I’ll put my money on a multimillion dollar mission computer from Russia to be superior to anything the China's semiconductor industry can come up with.

And Russia does have its own consumer goods electronics but because everything is dominated by Japanese and American companies you don't here about it.

And do something else besides posting the same junk, it gets old hearing about how China's semiconductor industry is superior, how Russians are skinheads, how America is evil and how Christians need to die.

Counterfeit electronics from China have been found on US F-15 fighter jets

Its ludicrous to think that the country with the 2nd best civil telecom hardware company in the world cannot also build even an average radar. That's the height of ridiculous.

I NEVER SAID Russians are skinheads. I challenge you to find 1 post where I said skinheads and Russians in the same sentence excluding this one. I also never said the US is evil. I call it a military dictatorship and the Wall Street regime but never evil.

Ревнивый?

Nothing jealousy bro, i am waiting to see Russia to build this levithan. :coffee:

So are you going to rent the Nikolayev shipyard in Ukraine? Since the Saint-Petersburg shipyard isn't large enough to build that big girl.

.
Considering they had to buy an LPD from the French.. you may be right..
Less to do with infrastructure thought.. probably has to do more with design and expertize.
Last I heard was that most Russian ship designers had left for greener pastures after 91.. and not to many came to replace them.

Santro

Time of 91 has gone, this is another Russia not what usually come in imagination of common man. Russia developed itself in technology 30 years ahead in 20 years from 91. Even Mistral deal was highly criticized by strategic analysts, Russian ship building companies and military officials. But where bureaucracy didn't interfere?

.
Considering the state of Russian ship building and high tech manufacturing. I doubt they can pulll it off in the stated time frame.

There is no need to underestimate your counterpart, looks not professional.

The new wharf and a girl more slender (about 60 kg.).
