Pakistan started negotiations for it's follow on submarines In 2006 with Germany, later Germany backtracked and Pakistan had to turn to China.Now it will get those submarines only from 2022 onwards i.e. a period of 16 years.
Also we are hearing about J-10 since 2003 but nothing has moved on that front.

EXACTLY!!!!.......The truth of the matter is Pakistan is in the process of allocating funds for the purchase and acquisition of China's J-20/J-31 fighters (both of which will be equivalent or superior to the SU-35) with significant TOT. Also the PAF is looking to become more self-sufficient (with Chinese assistance) in making upgraded versions of the JF-17. These overtures between Pakistan and Russia are merely to show the world that the 2 are no longer enemies of one another. Pakistan is not getting any Russian fighter jets nor de we require them. We will be getting high tech world class fighter jets from China in the coming few years. The day is fast approaching whereby Pakistan will never again need any western or Russian military hardware or other assistance.

This is pretty much what will happen

If their is an immediate need PAF may opt for current Chinese options available but in reality the planes we want will mature or be ready in early 2020s

In the meantime we will keep improving and adding JF-17s, adding a few F-16s because we already have the plane, infrastructure and expertise

And then add a advanced Chinese option when it is ready whilst also maybe getting involved with the Turkish option if for nothing else to gain access to tech for JF17 or our plane in the future


Its a simple plan


All this rest is just bluff and counter bluff by both us and even the Russians because they have a vested interest in seeing indians get panicky


Indians go through their usual randi rona, amateur dramatics anything concerning Pakistan
