and even if India gets f-16 , you have to realize one thing that , PAF mastered this plane , we have more experience flying this plane than, so even if you get f-16, we will have edge over you ...
same theory goes with Su-30 mki , your IAF is flying this bird since years now , and Pakistan will never go for a plane that indians are mastered ...

just like US will not care about Pakistan ,when it comes to selling weapons , same apply to Russians no ??
why you want to treat Russians as your pet ? that sell weapons to you , and not to your enemies ,look at US , they sell weapons to Israel and Arab world too ...

it all about national interest , your govt lean towards US , Russian open their markets for Pakistan ... but the only ones you will see crying , Questioning their friendship , D!ck measuring are indians ... if you guys dont care ,than there is no reason to question friendship with Russia or threaten them to cancel the ongoing and future deals with them !!!!

Pakistan needs very wise political regime to cater maximum out of the good situation and principle priority should be of chainese timetested relation.
Should get RD 93 MA and better avionics and SAMs form russia. As buck 2 is already being negotiated.
Should also engage usa like a better batch of F16 block 60 or 52 probably now usa would be willing.

To use thrust vectoring, the airframe should be able to get out of a stall because there is a high chance the plane may go into a stall under low speed conditions. How is the stall recovery on the JF-17? Doesn't inspire much confidence with those short straight wings and a tubby MiG-21-esque spine.

There is a difference between buying and freebies. As the popular saying goes, beggars cant be choosers.
India cries because it has leverage and it uses it. What leverage Pakistan has over U.S and Russia? U.S is a donor to pak so its the U.S which has leverage, and close to inconsequential trade between Pak and Russia.
And if i remember right, Musharaff cried like hell when the first MKIs starting arriving in India and asked Russia to think about "strategic imbalance" it is creating in the region. Same happened when Phalcons were bought.

JF-17 Thunder: Govt to buy jet engines directly from Russia

Pakistan will directly import engines from Russia to manufacture its JF-17 Thunder fighter jets. The engines were earlier imported via China.
According to sources in ministry of defence production, China has recently issued no objection certificate (NOC) to Pakistan, which was earlier producing the fighter jet as a joint venture with China.
“The Chinese NOC now allows Pakistan to import fighter jet engines from Russia directly,” a source said. “This will not only reduce the cost of production of the fighter jet but will also lead to enhanced defence cooperation between Russia and Pakistan.”
Islamabad and Moscow had recently agreed to boost cooperation in several spheres including that of defence during the recent Russian defence minister’s visit to Pakistan. “This is a significant move since Pakistan had never struck any direct defence deal with Russia,” the sources said.
“Russia was clearly tilted towards India and the new Russian policy towards Pakistan is seen as a coup pulled by the country’s foreign policy.

Russia, France and others have learned the game. India goes outside of their circle of influence so they won't take that influence either. The Russians really gave everyone a wake up call by deciding to sell Pakistan military hardware. Everyone will follow suite and will keep Pakistan and India relations independent of each other.

Also, in the near future, an overhaul factory of RD-93 will be build in Pakistan, along with future integration of Zhuk / other Radars and other components. This engine deal is just the beginning, the Russians are going to use Pakistani-Chinese card / influence on certain countries where they don't have direct pull. Its a win win situation if JFT can be sold with Russian radars, engines and Missiles (and can be flown as such by the PAF too). Russia only makes more money that way and acquires indirect customers too. Same will be the deal with the French. Watch the next three years, it'll be interesting as both the Russians and the Europeans are hoping to get contracts from Pakistan for O&G, Power and Mineral extraction and selling. The Chinese trade route and the $ 75 billion long term investment has brought to Pakistan's economy, what it was missing. Plus the current government's so far clean slate, massive infrastructure projects, foreign investment assurances, etc, have given the international community the confidence it needed. Once terrorism crap is finished from Pakistan, there is significant upward growth in its economy starting in 2017.

So at this point, Russians, French and everyone else is watching out for their interests and how to make a few billion extra every year from another customer, outside of the Indian influence. They all know, India is as a customer for a short amount of time as they are in it JUST to get the tech and build internally. In which case, you need more customer who will give you long term business, even worth a few billion a year.
