dont miss the point that India first oppose the deal ... you guys dont let Russians to sell these engines to Pak.. that is why we had to buy it from China ... and this is not just about selling the engines directly to Pakistan, but more about the increasing Relationship between Russia and Pakistan....and now please dont come up with these posts , that Pakistan cant replace indian blah blah

What is the reason we can't produce indigenously

Actually to design jet engine you need manufacturing license and no one can share it's technology easily with other country. Secondly it is very very difficult to design jet engine and required huge budget and human resource.

no we cant produce Jet engines ... lots of developed countries cant do that either ...

Good for the industry of both Russia and Pakistan. Reduces the dependency of the middle man.

Next step is licence to serial produce RD_93 series like in India.
