The Chechen capital, Grozny held Victory Day military parade with several dozens of the newest military vehicle.


The Chechen capital (Chechnya is a federal subject of Russia.) has held celebrations on the occasion of the 73nd anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War. The column of power agents was followed by several dozens of armoured vehicles – armoured troop carriers (ATCs) and infantry combat vehicles (ICVs) included the Stallion II multirole light armoured vehicle.

Chechen SOBR special police have displayed several recently acquired Jordan-made Stallion II multirole light armoured vehicles in a parade to mark the Victory Day on 9 May. This is the first known case of import of Jordanian armored vehicles into the Russian Federation.

The Stallion II is a light armoured personnel carrier developed by the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB).

The Stallion II is fitted with heavy-duty independent suspension and standard equipment includes a central tyre inflation system, powered steering and a front-mounted winch.

According to the Army Recognitionthe vehicle weighs approximately 7,000kg and is developed as a next-generation light mobility vehicle. The Stallion II vehicle is powered by a Cummins 266 hp engine coupled to an Allison automatic transmission. The Stallion can run at maximum road speed of 120 km/h with a range of 400 to 600 km.
