Well its not like that.
Mig-29 (latest Versions) are more advance and capable than any of current JF-17 Blocks in any case and lets just put maneuverability aside at the moment.

But what makes JF-17 unique is that it offers full multitrole capabilities in just $20+ millions and also a light weight single engine fighter unlike Mig-29. This is the factor that worries not only Russian but US also. Because a third world country will likely prefer cheaper JF-17 over costly Mig-29 or F-16, that too offers same capabilities.
