RUSSIA IN SHAMBLES: USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) steams through the Atlantic Ocean (Receives 541,000 Pounds of Ordnance)

If the Us ever goes up against a serious country, They will not get these carriers anywhere near a real fight.

They are white elephants at this point. Too expensive to risk in a real conflict.

Nowhere is that more vividly displayed then the Persian Gulf. from 1979- right up to the early mid 2000s. Whenever the US wanted to intimidate Iran, they would sail their carriers into the persian gulf in times of high tension.

Since then, They immidiatly evacuate their carriers as soon as there is the slightest bit of tension in the Persian gulf. They are no longer able to operate in the persian gulf. Because american generals and planners are well aware that they wouldnt last an hour against the full teeth of Iranian coastal anti-ship missiles.

American carriers can only "project power" against near defenseless countries. They are simply too valuable to risk in a real fight. The prospect of losing a 10-20 billion dollar ship with 5k highly trained crew is beyond anything an american president/naval commander would risk.
LOL! You called American carriers the white elephants but you wouldn't say the same for Chinese aircraft carriers. Don't be daft, the carriers were not built to take on defenseless countries, built to take on any country that was a threat including Japan during WW2 and the Soviet Union during the Cold War. They are floating airbases, something China wants especially for a fight in the Pacific.

No, it is not from that conversion.

The F-4 was originally designed for the US Navy and eventually all services flew it. If an F-4 was assigned to a carrier with a jump deck, it will have to launch with a lesser takeoff load, fuel + weapons, than if it launched from a land runway or catapulted off the deck.
Didn't knew about f4 . But honestly there are loads of problem with f4 aerodynamic but good to knew that

Yes, it can. Both Russian and Chinese verify that. They operate those and they have the data. But your max payload aircraft airborne will be limited becos out of 3 aircraft launch, only 1 will be max payload.

Jump ski has the advantage of no failure, simplicity and low cost but it's a temporary solution only. Type 003 will be launch soon.
Yeah, that's impossible.

Anyways, why in every takeoff photo of J-15 or Russian jets, they never have full loadout?

Lol.. Is Chinese military as opened or bragging like US that we need to photo and showcase every of our military?

Plus using the third launchpad will prevent any emergency landing when required. 3rd launch pad is seldom used.

The aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford has checked off flight deck certification.

F/A-18E/F Super Hornets, E-2D Hawkeyes, and MH-60S Nighthawks from Carrier Air Wing 8 completed over 400 day and night catapult launches and trap recoveries as part of the certification, the Navy said Tuesday. The ship is poised to get underway again this month for more testing to gear up for its scheduled deployment this fall.

Gonna disagree with your statement. Gerald Ford is a disgrace rather than glory for USN. Just like Zumalt destroyer. It's a sign of decline of USN.

Commission from 2017 and until now. Still problematic and far from combat operational. It is totally unacceptable from a military point of view.

But thanks to hype of western controlled media. They will always try to turn this turd into something good. :enjoy:
Well you can say whatever you want, but that does not negate the FACT that China is still way far behind US, specially when it comes Naval and Air Power projection.

USS Enterprise's keel has been laid while USS JFK is almost done. Beast talks about Zumwalt and its the end of the U.S. Navy. I remember when the Seawolf class production was cut to 3 and went instead to Virginia class boats. Does that mean its the end? Doubt it. You already have something like this for its replacement. Obviously its just a reference but not what it will look like. But that is their future plans for the Navy.

I wouldnt say the world far behind. China naval power is definitely capable of projecting power far from it's shore.

If somebody think PLAN can only project power in SCS, they are the one in real denial.

The Fords issues have been solved and overcome. Meanwhile, Chinas EMALs is not even on a carrier

J-15 can barely carry any load when taking off this aircraft carrier. It trades off fuel for payload capacity. Full fuel tanks means very limited air to air payload, and no significant air to ground capability at all. J-15s basically have to choose between really limited range or really limited payload.

Nothing to do with jealousy but facts presented.
Yes, it does. :enjoy:

USS Zumalt is a good example how not to waste military expenditure.
The Zumwalt is the F-117 of the seas. And my first jet the F-111 did not have a good start either, but look how that turned out. We have a good record of making problems works and does it better than anyone else. Our failures are still better than anything your China have.

we have many such examples, take F-16's in early days the plane crashed and have issues but with time the engineers has perfected it, and F-16 by far the best fighter in world for decades until replaced by again US's Raptors and F-35's.

I wouldnt say the world far behind. China naval power is definitely capable of projecting power far from it's shore.
China can, but they are not as capable of Power Projection as USN, PLAAN can not sail up to US main land and threaten the US with Power, on the other hand US can easily sail up to China and surround it and PLAAN might be able to fight but USN will only loose a fraction of its fleet while PLAAN will be done for decades to come. China has a lot to catch up but with US progressing with the pace they are (even if its less than China) they will always maintain the upper hand in everything.

If somebody think PLAN can only project power in SCS, they are the one in real denial.
China can not project its power nor fight close to US main land. You have what ? 1-2 AC's bro US got 11 and not to talk about the supporting ships/Subs that comes with it, O am not a Military guy but @gambit @Hamartia Antidote or even @SQ8 can tell you the sheer power of 1 US carrier group, its ridiculous.

This is not the one we are working on.
Why try misled readers?

Trying to avoid mention Type 003?

Your second carrier was commissioned in 2019 with that kiddie ramp.

Meanwhile ours has been on a carrier since before 2017.

Are you really sure you had that tech working?
