Russia cutting underwater cables could be an 'act of war', says UK defence chief

We'd be fucked if they turned off the Internet and doubly fucked if they turned off the gas. Best not to antagonise the Russians.

Rust bucket or not, numerical superiority is what it is.

Russia has torpedos which are guaranteed kill on known target.

It assures an attacked sub can at least sink its attacker with itself, and >1-1 kill ratio.

If you are outranged, you can try running, but in 2 vs 1, a second sub can keep engaging the enemy, while the second is running away from a torp.
Actually a single ship can fire multiple torpedoes. Generally a ship has at least 4 torpedo tubes loaded and additional reloads for multiple round of firing. So, having 2 submarines together will mean that a single ship will take out 2 submarines and the two submarines will together kill only 1 ship. The kill/death ratio will be 50%.

British imperialists poisoning the Bering Sea with uranium could be an act of war.

Whats their point?

If they know of course where the 2nd sub is.
