China has nothing to offer, is a US dependent economy which may refuse to help Russia at the times of acute need, on US call.

How is China dependent on the US when US account for less than 30% of China's external trade and continues to shrink in marketshare for Chinese goods? When US owe China a trillion dollar? When the EU turn to China to bailout Greece?

Let's be realistic, China know US is not going to recover to pre-collapse level. no doubt China do will want to earn USD, American just don't have the stomach for more debt.

Saying China is dependent on the US is like saying Russia is dependent on EU because 30% of their energy export goes to Europe, producers is not at the mercy of the consumer, especially when the consumer is broke.



This is not a battle of military or economy, this is a battle of word, a battle for public opinion... this is a contest between pro-war and anti-war factions, i seriously doubt either US, EU, Russia or China will confront each other directly over what is essentially an opinion difference...

we shall see what happens when the conflict expands into other middleeast state like syria and saudi, and see if NATO still have the stomach to "peacekeep"...

Hasn't this been going on for quite a while? I mean Russia and China have always tried to be the NATO counter for no reason. NATO is a powerless agency now that the cold war is over. It only exists for Europe's safety. For US, it is just additional cannon fodder to contribute.

Russia is doing business with the EU so what? china is already very well integrate economically with the USA and EU(more so than Russia is) and if as you say they have absolutely no interest please do tell why they would bother to work with china? clearly there is something to gain
