Russia made a good statement, the matter needs to be investigated.

In an apparent fallout of Uri terror attack, Russia has called off its joint military exercise with Pakistan, CNN-News 18 reported on Monday. Russia’s move is a big diplomatic gain for India as the latter had decided to isolate Pakistan at international level. The move comes just a day after 18 soldiers of Indian Army were martyred in a cowardly attack by four highly armed terrorists at an Army camp in Jammu&Kashmir’s Uri district. Earlier, India had urged Russia to reconsider its decision to hold joint military drills with Pakistan. Pakistan and Russia were scheduled to conduct the ‘Druzhba-2016’ tactical exercises from September 24-October 7 in Rattu and Cherat. The Indian External Affairs Ministry had sent a letter to Kremlin soon after the Islamabad confirmed about excercise. In its letter, India said that Moscow should keep New Delhi’s sensitivity in mind while conducting joint military drills with Pakistan.

In a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, India took the decision to diplomatically isolate Pakistan at every international grouping, reported ANI quoting sources. According to the report, India will adopt the strategy to present all actionable evidence against Pakistan if required at international bodies.

India, by crying wolf about Pakistan at such international bodies, you're driving a lion into a corner without having wounded it (something you can't ever, even, given the M.A.D. deterrents that Pakistan and India have).. You're trying to false-flag the Pakistanis into a position of seeming the aggressor. And i will do my bit to make sure people in the EU and North-America, South-America, non-Chine Asian countries and of course North-Asia, know the truth about your now nearly a decade-long at least cold war against Pakistan, a war kept alive with Indian arrogance hidden behind a thin veil of righteousness and sophistication. You're no better than a ultra-right-wing Israeli. All charm and sophistication, until you disagree with them, because "how on Earth can reality be anything but how i describe it?" is without a doubt coming from narrowminded, little-knowing, aggressive people.
Did you know i can't even be real-world friends with Israelis because of this behavior..?

No issues. Russia would do the exercises once all the deals with India are confirmed. It is about money after all.

Russia strongly condemns Uri attack
19 September 2016 ALEXANDER KORABLINOV, RIR
Moscow expresses concern that base was attacked from Pakistani territory.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the September 18 attack on an army base in Uri, India, which claimed the lives of 18 Indian soldiers.

“We strongly condemn the terrorist attack against an army base in Jammu and Kashmir’s Uri in the early hours of September 18, which killed 17 and injured 30 service personnel. We offer our condolences to the families of the victims and wish a rapid recovery to all those injured,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“Regarding the Pathankot Indian air base attack in January 2016, we are very concerned about the terrorist attacks near the Line of Control,” the ministry added. “We are also concerned about the fact that, according to New Delhi, the army base near Uri was attacked from Pakistani territory.”

Russia called for a proper investigation. “We believe that this criminal act will be investigated properly, and that its organisers and perpetrators will be held accountable,” the ministry said. “We confirm our continued support for the Indian government’s counterterrorism efforts.”
