Omar al-Mukhtar was a corporal in Ottoman ranks. He was unlike those foreign rag tag militia in Benghazi. Apparently, that's the only figure of Libyan heroes that you people know of, and claim his legacy.

Libya’s GNA warplanes target Haftar forces’ convoy near Mizdah

The commander of the Control Room of Butkan Al-Ghadab Operation Colonel Salim Burawi said warplanes of the Government of National Accord (GNA) targeted last night a convoy for Khalifa Haftar’s forces near Mizdah town.

Burawi told Libya Alahrar TV that the airstrike destroyed two military vehicles, two armed cars and a container laden with weapons.

He also indicated that most frontlines in southern Tripoli were seeing an uneasy calm except for Yarmouk and Al-Khallatat, where mortar and artillery shells had been exchanged interruptedly.
