An internal EOTS is heavy and adds unnecessary weight. A detachable pod is better. It's only used when on attack mission. Only attack jets like Su-34 and F-35 and J-20 have internal EOTS. Multi roles like F-15E and Su-57 use pods to minimize weight when they are not on attack mission.
