If you may reduce tae RCS to less the 1Sq M the plane may be called 5th stealthier if not exactly stealth. The so called 5th generation planes also have external hangers to hang weapon outside weapon bay.

This is simple politics. Russia playing with India by making noises of sale to Pak. India keeping Russia happy by promising mula for Su 35S upgrades. Pakistan gets little but vodka in cocktail parties.

India isn't going for the Su-35. If they wanted it, they would have given up on the Rafale deal long ago and gone for it. And also, India are going for PAK FA (Indian version FGFA) for its 5th generation fleet and Russia isn't planning on making a 2nd stealth fighter jet.

At best, India is looking to upgrade its equipment for the Su-30 MKI and 5th generation fighter (PAK FA) and thus a joint research.

I still believe that there might be some talks between China & Russia over possible sale of about 150 SU-35s to replace the SU-27s which might come to Pakistan. Though, unofficially is license producing Sukhoi aircrafts with Russian permission.

LCA program is on track. chhodne ka sawal hi nai hai. Su 35 is a heavy aircraft. LCA is light.

India is already precuring two variations of FGFA and T-50 as Russian standard configuration. Having a 3rd type of 5th gen platform lacks sense.

May India is forced to take this step or Russia would had sold Su-35 to Pakistan. Now look at the ironey, India doesn't have to buy what it needs but also have to buy what Pakistan needs.
