MOSCOW, (BM) – Russian-made Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile-cannon systems [ZRPKs], which are used in Libya, are useless against Turkish operational-tactical multi-purpose unmanned aerial systems Bayraktar TB2, learned BulgarianMilitary.com citing the Russian Zvezda newspaper.

In May, BulgarianMilitary.com called the successful Bayraktar TB2 attack on Carapace “real genocide.”

The weekly writes that the modification of this ZRPK and its export version used by the Armed forces of Russia are different. In particular, the second is equipped only with an optical control system, while the first has a three-coordinate target detection station with a semi-active phased array antenna and a dual-band centimeter-millimeter radar tracking system for targets and missiles.

“Infrared channels in various ranges are used to track targets and missiles. Radar and optoelectronic devices make up a single system and can operate in different wavelengths,” the newspaper writes, recognizing that Russian-made air defense missile systems “are only poorly adapted to combat targets such as Turkish Bayraktar TV2”

The weekly notes that the Turkish drone strikes with precision weapons from four or more kilometers and is able to barrage for a long time at high altitude, which “significantly complicates its detection by the optical-electronic station ZRPK.”

According to the publication, the Pantsir-S1 operators in Libya do not have access to highly mobile radar stations that could carry out external target designation for air defense missile systems.

Let's not forget the Russian and Iranian losers whom called strike footage as video games, CGI etc.... while claiming they downed Hundreds of UAVs. You disgraced yourselves again as always.

That's total BS.

lol, Turks and their world!

The radar of Pantsir-S1 is highly vulnerable against both electronic warfare and slow flying targets.
it's weakness was first exposed in 2007 and Israel's raid on Syrian's nuclear facility, then again in 2012 by another Israel strike. Later In 2012, Syrian air force proved it's vulnerability to Russians during a drill in which this system (operated by Russian operators) failed to target a Mi-17 helicopter which was equipped by a TACAN jammer. yet there was no alternative for Syrians.
again in 2018, Turkey-backed terrorists managed to defeat this system by their cheap drones during their raid on Khmeimim Air Base.

So it's not a matter of super duper Turkish drones, but a fundamental flaw in Pantsir-S1.

To be honest for me entire world's SAMs are useless for example:
KSA multiple times failed to stop drones and missile attacks with USA tech.
Syrian air defence unable to stop Israel, Turkish attacks.
Iran shot down their own passengers plan with SAM.
India shot down thier own chopper with Israel tech.
Forget Yemen and Russian SAMs.

You wont see them in this thread as usual.
who is them? lmao. pls stop fighting ghosts that arent present. I'm neither Russian nor Iranian so the Bayrakbat drone or whatever destroying some pantsirs really doesnt mean much to me. what is there for me to hate on or dislike? you think i'm that childish that i will see or conclude a truth and then completely deny it? congrats o your drones kills though! whatever Pantsir was killed, Turkey gets credit for it. I just dont think list of destroyed equipment is my goal when i look at these conflicts but yes, no one is denying any real truth that occured, facts are not personal.

Conclusion- truely successful, consistent and reliable Air Defense for and over a country is very hard to achieve.

So you bothered yourself to take a screenshot of that page and edit it and upload it here, but couldn't read in the same page (development section) that the first delivery was in 2007, or in operators section of also the same page which says first delivery to Syria was also in 2007.

Ok I give up, you turks are great!!!!

. .
dont take this russian statement as waekness. Turkey & Russia should be internally on one page and respect each other objectives from libyan soil & try to achieve those objectives together behind backdoor diplomacy.

You're just angry because you see how Turks slowly but surely overtake you in ever defence tech related field. Get used to it. Missile tech is basically your last area of expertise. Turks are coming, bruuu.

Muhsin ♥
My ideal is that middle east become the source of technologies, even in our rival, Saudi Arabia. so no I'm not angry at all, in fact if it wasn't my intention to give you some info about pantsir history, I wouldn't participate in this childish I'm great, you looser thread.

the rest is just for fun.

not to mention Turkish drones also took out Pantisr S1 based on Kamaz chassis, meaning it was Russian system used by Russian mercs Wagner

Israel has the strongest Air Force in the Middle East, a few short range Pantsir S1s are not gonna stop their raids, and since there is a fundamental flaw in Pantsir, why has Russia and Syria continued accepting deliveries of the said systems, while being aware of such fundamental flaw?
