Russia acting as buffer between Israel, Iran

Iranians need to be wary of Russia. Putin's rise to power came off the back of him utilizing nationalist elements in Russian law enforcement and intelligence to get rid of major Israel-affiliated oligarchs who had plundered the Russian economy after the 1990s IMF privatization 'shock therapy'. There's still powerful elements of them left in Russia, however, and their ties to Israel are close. Russia did, after all, give Israel the codes for Iran's s300s. Russia and Israel also carry out intelligence sharing over Syria.

Russia wanting Syria to get rid of Hezbollah/Iranian militia presence was perhaps a symptom of the remnants of Zionist lobby power in Russia. The Axis of Resistance is the entire reason Syria was targeted. The maintenance of the friendly government in Syria is necessary and for that the presence of Iran and Hezbollah also vital. Trying to get Syria to scale back on that wouldn't have helped Russia in any way. They need their forward presence in the Middle East badly.

Yup. Russia voted for the 1947 resolution creating the state of Israel. And let's not forget Russia is the first country that set up diplomatic relation with Israel. It is clear there would not be Israel without Russia.
