Why do people still care about them?
Only because some of their ancestors were great doesnt make them any better.
And im pretty sure they are genetically only 10% Turkish anyway.

Probably even less since they only took Balkan women as their wife but that is not really the problem since most Turks don't care about genetics. I think some people romanticize Ottoman empire but they don't care about the current family abroad because they are not so Muslim/Turkish anymore. My view is that the Ottoman Empire had its days but we also should acknowledge their mistakes which led to the fall of the empire. Some people in Turkey don't want to see that and they see it as outsiders who brought the Ottomans on their knees instead of looking at the backwardness and mistakes of the Ottomans which led to the fall the Ottoman dynasty.

Of Ulan...I am a man who misses a lot those powerful mighty days of us.And I looked at naz Osmanoğlu's twitter.I have a lot of respect,sympathy,commitment to Ottoman,to that family which starts with Osman Bey even if they are gone.And i see this now and really made my day bad.
