As we open trade routes with Central Asian Countries we should import electricity to fulfill any shortcomings in our supply as well, appears they have surplus power so win win. Lets face it Afghanistan is probably never going to be stable so go the Wakhan route and pretty much bypass the wartorn country.
This whole Wakhan corridor was a cheap British move anyway to keep Czarist Russia and the British Empires separated by Afghanistan.
