read a book, not what you think you read somewhere
The entire text of UN Resolution on Kashmir is written here:
U.N.Resolution on J&K August 13, 1948
1949 UN Resolution Calling for Referendum on Kashmir

Since 2010, after wasting decades on the issue, UN removed Jammu and Kashmir from its list of disputed territories:
Kashmir issue left unmentioned in United Nations - The Express Tribune

Good luck!

Should have accepted terms of plebiscite back in 1948 instead whining about it 68 years later. Same for Palestinians who ignored UN resolution in 1947 and today whine about Israeli occupation.

Do you know why Nehru went to UNSC?

@Norwegian Read the last paragraph and links with referance to Hyderabad state.

Refer to Taiwan/China, USA/Russia, India/China. Does Norway continue training army? For what to fight the Swedes? Father Christmas? No, it is the same enemy Norway has trained as part of NATO, Russia. Cold war lives on. Refer to my previous post below. I would say we are at No.2

Referandum? What referandum. Find out what referandum India needed for taking over Hyderabad State. India just invaded and with loaded sarcasm called the military invasion "police action". We should have done exactly the same thing in Kashmir in 1947 and called it "police action 2: Mission Kashmir" like India did with Hyderabad but our leadership was gutless.

??? Our nukes will kill Muslims and Hindus alike. Don't worry...

I know how Hyderabad State of the Nizams was incorporated into India. You see it was landlocked and had a majority of Hindu population with a Muslim ruler. What did you expect? :D

Kashmir was practically landlocked* and had a majority Muslim population with a Hindu ruler. I would have expected Pakistan to have done the same. Like I said gutless leadership.

*That is why the invading force was brought by air. Only later when the Bannihal Tunnel was opened in 1950s was a all weather road link developed with India.

That's for sure. Before arriving in Srinagar, they were ordered to look for any Pakistani forces present. If they were not, they could return. Pakistani forces were instead fighting somewhere else, looting, pillaging ordinary Kashmiris instead of taking Srinagar, the capital. :D

Because Pakistan DID not send in the army to do "police action". Instead they sent a rag tag militia or "lashkar". The only paved road into Kashmir was from Rawalpindi ( Islamabad ) which was HQ of norther command. One brigade sent along that road ( 125 miles ) with orders to do "police action" would have done the job in 48 hours. It was NOT done and here we are now 70 years later.

What did India send into Hyderabad to do the "police action"? Hindutwa mob? No, they sent in a regular army and got the job done.

Poor leadership was cause of this and Nehru outsmarted our d*ck leadership to put it bluntly. Whenever I say this most Pakistani say General Gracey ( who was commander of Pak Army ) refused to do "police action" in Kashmir. This is true because he did not want to send in army where British officers might end up fighting against other British officers because Indian army also had British officers.

Well the simple solution would have to sack him. If a army officer refuses you sack him and replace him. But that requires guts whih was lacking.

Jinnah actually ordered military takeover of Kashmir, but since Kashmir was already ceded to India by their current ruler, there wasn't much Pakistani military could do. If fighting had occurred, it would be comical. One part of British Indian army fighting another part who trained together to reach that far. It would have been like wars fought in early days of Islam where a father was fighting his own son who turned Muslim and thus switched sides. :sarcastic:
