I doubt Gen M (forcefully retired) will take on Kiyani. The US won't allow it, NS, Zardari would get another baton to hit Gen M on the head. The PA may not like it so I doubt he will take the risk. I think Gen M is a spent force now.

He is not Gen M! Rather he is President Musharraf. The rest I agree with aside from the point that he is a spent force. I think he has quite a few cards tucked away.

I hope so too. But you see it would just give people another reason to critize the Army. I really think it is our fault for voting for these people, who have no sympathy for Pakistan.

Rumour-apparantly Musharraf was close to invoking article 52-B and wanted to appoint a corps cmdr, Gen. Waheed (?) as the CoAS but the said general refused politely and also informed Gen. Kiyani. this i believe triggered the 3-hr meeting between the CoAS and the president.

Who the hell is spreading rumors like these. These cant be true. If anything the one institution the President cant anger is the Army.
