Reuters report exposes Indian claims of major destruction

When an enemy plane violates your airspace, you warn and then scramble your jets and then shoot down the plane. That is what most countries do.

Not necessarily. Peacetime rules of engagement typically involve warning intruding aircraft and no engagement is conducted beyond that if the aircraft leave.

Since the strike was on an uninhabited area late at night, information that the IAF had dropped bombs was not available until later, so that was not factored into the decision making at the time the IAF was intercepted.

Reuters report exposes Indian claims of major destruction
While ISPR claims no damages the BBC reports,

"Pakistan's military has cordoned off the area and not even the local police are allowed in, so it will be some time before details of the attack become known."
- which suggests that the bomb strikes shown so far in Pakistan are just strays while others - perhaps the majority - really hit their intended targets.

So now instead of the embarrassing situation of an incursion into air space despite claims on ‘ not being surprised ‘ , the emphasis shifts to ‘ See ! I didn’t get hurt !’ ?

Sir dont need to embarass them again.
Our Secretary also give little information for now and rest later means we dont pressure Pak Govt more.
France already said ,So is Australia because all of them saw the full evidences .
Our officials will release that later .
Until then let them calm down.
It is their honour thst is at stake .
They cant agree

We will respond accordingly but we have to deal with indian propaganda for the time being.

Cordoning off the area, when only some trees were damaged as per their claims doesnt not make any sense. Pakistani establishment doesn't want to admit the strike, which is understandable.

And also from the same BBC article:
"India's claims that they airdropped special forces to destroy militant camps on the Pakistani side of Kashmir were found to be largely exaggerated,"

We also have other papers quoting locals as saying that no damage was inflicted.

Additionally, there is always the risk of un-exploded ordinance in the area, so cordoning off the area until everything can be declared 'safe' would be necessary.

Thats normal procedure to cordon off the area, to assess the damage & protect the civilian or those who are not authorized to enter the area, till its declare safe...

What are you supposed to do on bomb sites??? Let everyone walk everywhere

How did the Indians get that far? Even if they came in and dropped nothing, isn't this a show of force by them? Realistically speaking, if war breaks out between India and Pakistan then the chances are that the IAF will dominate considering that the PAF was on full alert. It's time that the PAF started reviewing their strategy

It is not that easy. Our borders are next to each other. It doesn’t take long to infiltrate airspace. It is a matter of minutes and probably even seconds.

I agree this is a lapse, but one that cannot be prevented that easily.

There is only one effective solution to counter airspace violations so close to each other and that is to arm the vulnerable border areas with anti-missile systems. Anti-missile systems can engage in a matter of split seconds. Fighters cannot. Especially if they are not airborne or in immediate vicinity. It takes time before an airborne fighter is informed and reaches the place of violation. It takes even longer for a grounded fighter to reach the spot.
