Return from Pakistan
A total of 433 undocumented Afghans spontaneously returned or were deported from Pakistan through the Turkham (Nangarhar) and Spin Boldak (Kandahar) border crossings from 14—20 Jan 2018, according to the Border Monitoring Team of the Directorate of Refugees and Repatriation (DoRR).
Of the total returnees, 356 were spontaneous returnees and 79 were deported.
This number marks a 37 % increase compared to the previous week (315). The total number of undocumented Afghan returnees from Pakistan since 01 January 2018 is now 1,173. IOM provided post-arrival assistance to 84% of undocumented Afghan returnees from Pakistan (365 individuals), including 217 individuals in poor families, 122 individuals in Single Parent families (SP), 21 special cases (SC) and 5 Unaccompanied Migrant Children (UAM).
