Days after the Indian government called off talks with Pakistan at UNGA, due to the barbaric acts by terrorists in Kashmir, many leaders from the neighboring country are miffed, so much so that they are attacking PM Narendra Modi and BJP by openly coming out in support of Congress President Rahul Gandhi to become the next PM of India.

On Saturday, it was the Information and Broadcast minister Fawad Hussain, who used Rahul's tweets as reference to attack BJP. And now, it is Rehman Malik, the ex-Interior Minister.

Putting out a series of tweets, Malik openly campaigned for the Congress President to oust PM Modi in 2019. In one of his message, the ex-Pak minister declared that the Rahul will become the next PM of India, while calling for Indian people to respect him.

His message read, "RG is ur next PM therefore respect him. I in humble capacity all alone have exposed your RAW / PM Modi in the world & the world media is paying more attention to my substantive evidence based tweets agst PM Modi not your abuses to me.Stop abusing &grow up dear Indian abusers"

Prior to that, Rehman Malik had praised the Congress supremo for exposing the Rafale deal. On this topic, he had tweeted, "The one who exposed Jet Gate scandal is no one but Rahul ur own Citizen and leader.U see ur inimical mindset that u want to hand him over-to Pak just because he exposed Jet Gate agst your RSS infected PM Modi.what a shame.Note it .He will beat PM Modi in Jet Gate&next elections"

Earlier on Monday, he had attacked PM Modi over the Rafale deal while openly showing his support for Rahul Gandhi. In the wee hours of Monday, the former Interior Minister of Pakistan posted a video against PM Modi, in which Rahul Gandhi was attacking him over the Rafale deal. Rehman Malik isn't the only individual from Pakistan hatching a conspiracy against PM Modi while giving support to the Congress President. On Saturday, present I&B minister Fawad Hussain used Rahul Gandhi's tweets as reference to attack BJP. Given the nature of politics and relationship between India and Pakistan, I think this open support will help Modi hurt him. It's like if Netanyahu or some Israeli Minister had tweeted in favour of Imran Khan before elections. It would've been counter productive. This 'support' is likely to play perfectly into the hands of Modi.

I suspect Rehman Malik knows this as well and he isn't doing this randomly and out of the goodness of his heart. Since a PMLn guy doing it would've been too obvious, this is probably the next best thing.

In any case, I honestly suspect Rahul Gandhi probably would much rather Pakistani politicians show open support for Modi.
