PTI needs to take Karachi, clean governance will transform it into an economic powerhouse.

The era of gangsters and mafia bosses controlling the city is coming to an end.

NA-250 is only one national assembly seat. The real governance of Karachi, with all its authority and issues, is local. It will be a long time before any other political party can challenge MQM locally, and even only then with strong support from federal government.

It's a start brother. This has demonstrated Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf's determination. Insha'Allah it will have a positive effect on other constituencies in the coming years.

MQM has been proven to be losers and cheaters, thugs and badmash.

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Dr Arif Alvi has won National Assembly seat from NA-250 Karachi, securing over 77,000 votes , sources told Geo News as counting of ballots completed after partial re-polling at the 43 polling stations.

An Election Commission official would announce the unofficial results shortly, the sources said.

Earlier, reports said Dr Arif Alvi got 17,519 votes as unofficial and unconfirmed results from partial re-election held at the 43 polling stations came while Jamaat-e-Islami’s Naimatullah Khan received 446 votes.

Though, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) boycotted Sunday’s re-election at 43 polling stations, its candidate Khush Bakht Shujaat was runner up as she had secured over 3000 votes during the polling on May 11 polls.

If this is indeed a start and not a flash in the pan, then I wish you and your team all the best of luck and success, Sir.
