What's new

Renowned Indian journalist's open letter to Modi: "This is the truth about Kashmir"

to be frank, Modi ji doesnt give a flying fcuk about all these. He has given 2 years of time and held himself back. Both the radical kashmiris and pakistanis mistook it for his incomepetence. Now he will do what he intended to do. Nothing can change him. And he will succeed. All of india is with him on this.

May this tragedy end soon and Kashmir be free of extreme religious fanaticism and bigotry, and happy again....may kashmiri pandits finally be able to return to their homes.

Why were they driven out in the first place and by whom?

They were driven out for being non-Muslims in a Muslim majority land....it's not the first time this has happened around the world though. Actually 'kafirs' don't fit in under a 'mini khilafat' that some elements in the valley trying to create.

I thought you already know it.

So Kashmiri pundits were driven out by Kashmiri muslims for being non muslims but sikhs weren't?
I don't know much about religions but I do know that kaffir translates to liar in arabic.

There are hardly any Sikhs in KV.

Just going by Indians posts here, expect further massacre in Kashmir. Fascist and supremacist mindset always leads to bloodshed.

Hitler in WW2, Modi/RSS in WW3.

Kashmiris should be careful. The situation should prevail. I hope situation deteriorates to such an extent than India is forced to go for final solution. That would be abrogation of 370 or exodus of Kashmiris. Kashmiris should up the ante and start using grenades instead of stones and test India's patience. There is always chaos before order.

If they starts lobbing grenades, that will make it easier for IA.

India can send Pakistani artists home and keep the outside journalists out but what are they going to do with their own?

Shikhs too had the same fate, they now live in ghettos in Kashmir. You probably also know about the murder of Shikh gurus. I too don't know much about religions but I do know that certain sections of Muslims with radical views consider all non-Muslims, especially of the non-Abrahamic religions, as inferior, and use derogatory terms to demean them. 'Kafir' is one such popular derogatory term they commonly use.

.
This shallow analysis at its best. Whenever I see such rhymes or emotional blackmailing letters, I feel I couldn't be more honest to my own stance on Kashmir....

Mr Santosh ji pls answer my only one question... What led to KPs forceful exodus from valley if you truly believe in sympathising with todays Kashmiri victims & how their entire race wiped out from valley from the days of forceful conversion to modern time brutalities ?
Was 1990 infamous exodus first of its kind ?
What fate the KPs met in 1947 in todays Azad Kashmir ?
Problem is not that Kashmiris's aspiration could not be taken care but a violent resort in the name of distorted nationalism, and same has diminished any chance of their voice to be heard by saner side... The voilent ways of few folks out of religious hatreds towards other believers have got emboldened with each gunshots fired in the valley & have made entire ethnicity a hostile to an idea of integration with mainstream of India..... Indeed a worrisome situation for India....

Along with aforementioned questionable stance of Writer I would like to know the view point of same writer on below questions...
Has he visited the place of radicalization centre across valley especially in south Kashmir?
Did he put his entire journalistic skills to put up this picture ?
Why these journalists don't spare sometime in living with refugees camps for KPs ?

So Kashmiri pundits were driven out by Kashmiri muslims for being non muslims but sikhs weren't?

Ask Jammu wala or Sikhs from Jammu what they could have done if Sikh would have murdered & driven out instead KPs ....

According to rainman some sikhs there live in the ghetto and some sikhs who i knew from KV claim that real sikhs descend from kashmir not punjab but I guess I'll take your word for it.

So what you're saying is Kashmiri muslims are radicalized but why?

That's a question that Muslims around the world should introspect; why radicalism is a common problem in the Muslim world, why almost every Muslim region is dealing with this menace, why well-off Muslims from even developed countries are going to Syria in the name of 'Jihad'.....tough question indeed! What do you think about it?

I would like to answer your question but we can get banned for going off topic. However we can still discuss kashmir if you want

Nah, you won't get banned, but I might. What do you want to discuss further about Kashmir? It's the same age-old problem, the problem of 'religious intolerance and extremism' that we have seen (and seeing) in many places around the world, it's the same thing that divided the people and created Pakistan (and East Pakistan) because some Muslims weren't ready to live with people of other religions and wanted a separate 'Muslim homeland' on the basis of their religion, it's the same thing that is dividing the people of Kashmir too because some Muslims thought that they should also have their separate 'Muslim homeland', a 'mini khilafat', or should join a 'Muslim country', and it's the same thing that has resulted into killing and exodus of Kashmiri Pandits and people of other non-Muslim religions from the Kashmir Valley, because some Islamists thought it is right thing to purge the 'infidels'...! Unfortunate, sad, awful, but that's how it is...all over the world....look at Syria, Yezidis are the new 'Kashmiri Pandits' there...facing the same fate. :( I know majority of Muslims are not like this, not even in Kashmir, but there is also a saying about the 'tyranny of a minority and silence of majority', those extremists are the minority who get embolden due to the silence of the majority. But I am almost sure that your heart bleeds for the plight of religious minorities in Kashmir and you want the Islamists there to get rid of this curse of religious extremism and embrace plurality, isn't it?
