Remembring the Brave 24 PA Heros martyred in Somalia 5/5/1993

i left Blackhawk Down when i was almost 1/4 into the movie, an utter crap and sheer disgrace for the Pakistani soldiers who laid down their lives there!!

General Musaraf already wrote this in his book "In the line of Fire" that this movie is against the reality....it was actaully Pakistani soldiers who saved the american solderies lives who were under direct threat....but in movie they have showed it totaly opposit...

Why Pakistani goverment didn't take any action against similar propaganda and garbage movies which distort the real facts and disgrace the PAk Army? For sure we can sue Hollywood for this and the producers and direcors of this film......if similar movies were made against jews or any western country they for sure banned it in the first place and secondly they also take legal actions against it.

It doesn't give us due credit but since it doesn't defame us either, In my opinion it's ok, being jingoistic is not a crime..........

RIP to the Pakistani soldiers who bravely gave their lives.

There should be no hard feelings between common soldiers or even common people. There is exactly ONE individual who should shoulder 100% of the blame. Ready? Here he is...

----

Mr President Bill Clinton.

Here's why. When the Somali episode began, those generals who were to execute the operation wanted heavy armor of all varieties on hand. Clinton said "No. We are not here to intimidate. We are here to join hands and achieve peace and stability." Puppies, flowers, and kittens, all that garbage.

Ultimately, the lack of heavy firepower caused the fiasco that was "Blackhawk Down." An armored column could have cleaned that mess up in 20 minutes.

At the troop level, every soldier respected his allies in what turned out to be a fiasco. They always do, because they share the common background and experience of being a normal soldier.

So blame Clinton, blame Hollywood if you want. But please don't blame the average soldier. They TOLD Clinton the violence would be sharp and very hot, and he, in his idiocy, didn't want to "scare" the Somalis too badly.
