Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has urged religious leaders and members of the society to take ownership of the ‘war of ideologies’.

Addressing a news conference in Lahore on Sunday, he said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is committed to make Pakistan a social welfare state in line with the state of Madina and measures are being taken to achieve this goal, Radio Pakistan reported.

He said that minorities will be provided with their due rights by the PTI government. The minister said measures are being taken to ensure law and order situation.

He said the government is marking the 12th of Rabiul Awwal at official level by organising special ceremonies all over the country.

Fawad Chaudry said Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate Rehmatul-lil-Aalameen Conference on November 20. The occasion will be graced by Imam-e-Kaaba and scholars of UAE and other Islamic countries.

He said Kashmiri leader Meer Waiz Omar Farooq will also address the Conference via communication facility.

The minister said President Dr Arif Alvi will be the chief guest of the concluding ceremony of this grand event. He said Mahafil-e-Naat and Samaa will also be held in Lahore and other major cities.

The information minister said Prime Minister Khan is the only leader who called the students of religious seminaries his own children.

The minister said love for the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) is the foundation of Islam, whereas a group of people is trying to misuse the issue for political gain.

He urged the religious segments of society to come forward to counter such groups who are playing politics in the name of religion.

To a question, Chaudhry said the PTI government will restore prestige of the country at international level. He said menace of corruption cannot be eliminated until the powerful circles are made accountable.

Fawad Chaudhry reiterated that appointment of Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif as Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is ‘illogical’.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday stressed that recent protests had "nothing to do with religion, but were about politics", and urged religious leaders and members of society to take ownership of a fight against 'extremist ideologies'.

During a press briefing in Lahore regarding the upcoming 'Rehmatul-il-Alameen Conferences' being held nationwide this month, the minister described love for the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) as the foundation of Islam and claimed that "a group of people is trying to misuse the issue for political gain".

Take a look: Govt deal with protesters was 'firefighting', not a cure to the problem: Fawad Chaudhry

Chaudhry asserted that recent protests had "nothing to do with religion, but were about politics". He claimed that certain groups "play politics in the name of religion", and that "religion had nothing to do with all this activity".

He questioned why a "particular segment of society needs to use this issue for its politics" and does so by "bringing up a new issue every week".

The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader was of the opinion that recent protests following the acquittal of Aasia Bibi by the Supreme Court were not a crisis for the government, but the symptom of a crisis being faced by society.

Describing the situation as a "fight of ideologies", the information minister claimed that these groups are "taking advantage of religious leaders' and society's lack of ownership of this fight".

"When you can't present an argument against a different argument, and you are protesting against a Supreme Court verdict which no one has read, then there an ideological crisis takes birth," Chaudhry said.

"The state's failure was that it cannot safeguard those who had a counter-argument. One side had an argument and they also had weapons, while people on the other side were unarmed. Until the state can ensure a level playing field, the issue cannot be resolved," he said.

He encouraged people belonging to religious segments of society and other citizens to come forward to counter such groups.

"The first rebellion against these people should have come from religious segments [in society], but unfortunately it is not the case because of certain facts," he said. "Keep in mind, it is a fight of ideas, and the war of ideologies is not fought with weapons but with arguments."

He added that it is the responsibility of the state to ensure the availability of an environment where everyone can present their arguments.

"We are holding a 'Rehmatul-il-Alameen Conference' at a national level for the first time," Chaudhry said, adding that Prime Minister Imran Khan would inaugurate the event on Nov 20.

Last week, Prime Minister Imran Khan, while speaking to the Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri, had said that the government wishes to present an image of peaceful Islam before the world, Radio Pakistanreported.

He said that it was the responsibility of the state to present the true teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to the next generation, the report added.

For this purpose, 'Rehmatul-il-Alameen Conferences' will be held across the country, while a two-day 'Khatm-i-Nabuwwat International Conference' will be held in Islamabad, he said, adding that the Imam-i-Kaaba, Vice Chancellor of Egypt's Al-Azhar University, the Mufti of Syria, and religious scholars from Iraq and Tunisia will be in attendance and shed light on different aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

PM Khan had also said that research on the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) would be promoted under the government's supervision.

Arrangements for Eid-i-Miladun Nabi
Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri, while chairing a meeting of the organising committee for conference preparations on Saturday, had said that the occasion of Eid-i-Miladun Nabi would be celebrated with due honour and respect, Radio Pakistan reported.

He said that special functions and ceremonies would be arranged during Rabiul Awwal in which the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) would be highlighted.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry had said that arrangements would be made for the coverage of processions taken out on the 12th of Rabiul Awwal, and that state-owned PTV and Radio Pakistan would air qirat, naats and other programmes on the occasion, along with special programmes to highlight the Holy Prophet's (PBUH) teachings.

The month of Rabiul Awwal began on Saturday, Nov 10, and Eid-i-Miladun Nabi will fall on Nov 21.

Country needs to Moderate Religious Bodies ,
Ensure Educated people are in charge

These bodies should be infiltrated if needed by ISI to gather intelligence on any anti state activities

Qualities for Leadership of Religious Bodies
  • Hold Degree from Universities or College of Pakistan
  • Hold Mastery of Religious affairs
  • Rationally they have mindset for need for reconciliation of Shia/Sunni world (Important)
  • Hold Loyalty to State of Pakistan (Most Important)

Their focus should be on Rational thought : (YES)
  • Forgiveness (Siting example from Prophet's life on these issues)
  • Social Work
  • Promotion of clean corruption free Culture
  • Promotion of Honesty
  • Paying of Taxes on Time as means to fight Corruption
  • Fight against Poverty is our biggest challenge
  • Focus on charity work and social work

Example of Irrational Mind / Thought: (HELL NO)
  • Incite a mob to destroy public property
  • Incitement of Mob or group to go kill another Muslim or Minority
  • Not having enough representation in Parliament but making demands
  • Incitement to burn cars , trucks, buses, and trains
  • Beating up students
  • Beating up citizens for odd demand
  • Knee Jerk Anger (A trait Prophet Mohammad himself hated , Anger was disliked by him)

A lot of these religious folks were same people who after 1857 told Muslims to not get educated as it is a farangi book, and thus muslims were stuck with shitty jobs and labour work while other people got hired

But in end it was educated Muslims who had strong understanding of Islamic values who formed a political body around reasoning and Education which eventually lead to formation of Pakistan

The government is spineless as well as clueless. British protectionist policies cannot solve the crisis.

.
Pass all the Property Damage on the people who made a call for such mob demonstration make them pay damages

If we talk about Islamic Justice it is simple

a) You burn a car belonging to another Muslim , or none Muslims you have to pay the price in full

Property Damage
  • Car burned
  • Bus burned
  • Pickup trucks burned
  • Shops looted or burned

Based on the Islamic ruling a full compensation for these damage is due , to be collected from Mulwi bradri

b) If you do body damage to another Muslim you have to suffer same fate if the other person chooses that as a fair punishment for you or they can forgive you

Pakistan need World Islamic Sciences and Education University that can offer bachelor (consolidated Aalim course), Master (Specialization in Fiqh, Hadith, or Quranic Science) and PhD degree (Advance topics that include Iftah) in Islamic studies, also give Ijaza to teach others. We can seek help from Turkish, Jordanian, Syrian and Egyptian Hanafi scholars.

.
These religious bodies can be judged by the Leadership they choose

Diesel ~~~ Do I need to say more

20-30 Years he held Government office what did he do , for people ?Nothing ... He lived a lavish life fully paid , enjoyed full benefits and VIP status

End result turned out to be a Traitor and acting as a facilitator of fitna in Pakistan by organizing gathering of corrupt political parties
