ISLAMABAD, (SANA): Prominent nuclear scientist DR Abdul Qadir Khan has said that he was ready to become prime minister in caretaker setup, adding he would not become prime minister for three moths but for three years.
In an interview with a private TV channel Dr Abdul Qadir Khan has said that solution to national issues is not more difficult than producing a nuclear bomb.
He said if he was offered an opportunity to become prime minister in the caretaker setup, he would accept it without any hesitation. He said that incompetency and corruption are the stumbling blocks in the way of progress and prosperity.
Regardless of their internal contradictions, he is ready to work with all political parties without any discrimination, said Khan.
About the Balochistan situation he said that Baloch peoples sense of deprivation should be removed for consolidation of democratic system. Commenting on trend of new provinces, he said new provinces should be formed with consensus.
Terming Dr Tahirul Qadris long march just a provocation, he said that Qadri had no right to hold demonstrations in Pakistan as he is a foreigner.
He said the construction of Kalabagh Dam was imperative for overcoming the energy crisis; however, national consensus must be reached in this connection, he said.
The people should be convinced that construction of the dam would not hurt their interests, he said. Replying to a question he said he never obtained foreign nationality and would not leave Pakistan and would die in Pakistan. He said that in 180 million people there are many people who are honest and could bring out the country out of present situation, adding that his first objective after coming into power would be the improvement in law and order situation of the country.
