Rapprochement with Pakistan not on cards: Israel

Nice to see Muslims making peace with Israel. I bet on -

  • Oman
  • Indonesia
I know the articles are suggesting a "big" Asian country that isn't Pakistan but the ONLY country I can think would do this is Maldives.
Maldives is not big, it is not even small. In fact it is microscopic so you can easily discount it. The minister said "big". That points to only one candidate - Indonesia.

.
Nawaz tried to give Pakistan to India. Gadaars burn in hell.

Amin..... but this is trolling and off topic. As usual another example of biased moderation.
BTW, Pakistan has been hit hard by the economic hit man and his aides.

. . .
Those Muslim States that recognize israel as a legitimate state, are traitors to Islam.
Can you name those states? and what's the basis of your fatwa?

. . . .
I will wager again on -

  • Oman
  • Indonesia
Somebody made valid point that huge % of Indonesians are against Israel. However I regard Indonesia as a strong state as opposed to soft state [Pakistan] meaning governments can make highly unpopular decisions but state has the mettle to hold on to that unpopular decision eventually leading to populations accepting the decision by default.

@Indos thoughts?

Rapprochement with Pakistan not on cards: Israel
Working towards formalising relations with Muslim country but it's not Saudi Arabia or Pakistan, Israeli minister says

JERUSALEM:
Israel is working towards formalising relations with a fifth Muslim country during US President Donald Trump's term, which ends next month, but the country is not Saudi Arabia or Pakistan, an Israeli government minister told Ynet TV on Wednesday.
The White House has brokered rapprochements between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco this year. Israeli Regional Cooperation Minister Ofir Akunis was asked if a fifth country could sign up before Trump steps down on Jan 20.
“We are working in that direction. There will be an American announcement about another country that is going public with the normalisation of relations with Israel and, in essence, with the infrastructure for an accord – a peace accord,” he replied.
Akunis declined to name the country but said there were two main candidates. “One is in the Gulf… Saudi Arabia is not. The other candidate, further to the east, is a Muslim country that is not small but is not Pakistan,” Akunis said.

Those who think that they'd get any favors, benefits or concessions from recognizing Israel should read this... zionists are anything but stupid!
You'd, if you do accept them, will do so on their terms. Considering perhaps they'd stop supporting India or that you'd have equal access to their technology... well anything that makes one feel better! Both countries, Israel and Pakistan have previously worked against each others interests, voluntarily! Without any peer pressure!
But, if Pakistan is willing to play a second fiddle to India, there is no harm in recognizing Israel and going the Sheikhdoms way!

.
Probably Tunisia is the next one followed by KSA maybe I really think KSA strategy is getting their client states in the Arab world set on normalizing ties with Tel Aviv so it could sooth public concerns I am not sure about Indonesia that country public is notorious for big protests anyone remember the ethnic Chinese Governor of Jakarta getting into hot water over sensitive comments about Islam a few years back
Says you. These countries think differant -

  • Turkey
  • UAE
  • Marocco
  • Egypt
  • Jordan
  • Kazakstan
  • Azerbaijan
  • Turkmenistan
  • Tajiksitan
  • Bosnia
  • etc
  • etc

whose combined population exceeds 300 million.
The 3 or 4 of them were ex Soviet and Yugoslav republics goes to show that once 1991/1992 hit end of Eastern Bloc and USSR the Palestinian cause from the leftist stand point died out and low iq moulvi types took up the stage retarded the cause badly I really Think Israel played smart make the Palestinians decline further into irrelevance and play waiting game supper segments that would make their cause look bad the only regional power with Balls to stand up to Israel was Iran and still is but Arabs seen to be more sectarian and anti Persian in nature

Thing is Indonesians are high IQ. Even if Indonesia accepts Israel, the Indonesian people although not happy will not start rioting. If Pakistan recognizes Israel, the religious Pakistanis will start killing other Pakistanis deemed "unreligious" and burning Pakistan to the ground. That is the reality.

Indonesia
I will still go with Indonesia. I might be wrong but the Indonesian state is very strong like the Turkish state. I have wagered on Oman and Indonesia so let's see what happens. Who do you bet on?

very strong

Why is this relevant? Because I think almost all Muslim states besides Iran are ready to accept Israel. However the differance between those who have taken the step and those who have not is very simple. Those that are weak and fear public backlash are keeping quite. Only those states that are strong and can push their public into following the decision of the government are taking the step forward. And I think Indonesia is strong. Pakistan is weak which is why I wager on Indonesia.

and Bangladesh.

Its a stretch I agree but Indonesia did not join the Turkey-Pakistan-Malaysia-Qatar group

To be fair Pakistan didn't join the group either when Malaysia hosted its summit which was a terrible decision on our part.

I just don't see Indonesia being the one to recognize Israel and if it isn't Malaysia and the Maldives doesn't count since it isn't a "big" country the MOST probable nation to do it is Bangladesh,

Remember, the Awami League is borne out of Marxists, Hasina has stamped out the country's opposition murdering them or imprisoning them and has effectively become a dictator which are preconditions for recognizing Israel.

Maldives is not big, it is not even small. In fact it is microscopic so you can easily discount it. The minister said "big". That points to only one candidate - Indonesia.

So let's see the only countries to recognize Israel were dictatorships and those the US has paid off to be their friend?

Can you really say most of their leaders weren't traitors to Muslims?

Sudan is already looking to back out of it if its dictators they call a "transitional government" aren't granted immunity from prosecution for supposed acts of "terrorism" and likely will want immunity from prosecution for any current crimes as well:
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/01/us/politics/sudan-israel-trump-peace-accord.html

Turkey did it in 1949 under a military dictatorship while a 2017 BBC public opinion poll showed they are as negative about Israel as Pakistani's with only 10% of their public actually seeing Israel's influence as being positive.

The UAE is ruled by a despotic Arab dictator who has been on a murder spree of Muslims in Yemen

Morocco Arab dictator recognized Israel and doesn't even want to hold public displays or celebrations of this "joyous" occasion

Jordan is ruled by a dictator

Egypt recognized Israel under the dictatorship of Anwar Sadat who was later assassinated by his own people.

Tajikistan did it under a dictatorship and still is one

Turkmenistan did it under one of the worlds most repressive and cruel dictators Saparmurat Niyazov.

Azerbaijan is ruled by a dictator, one we have friendly relations with, but I can understand them doing so. They were freshly liberated from decades of Soviet brainwashing and attempts at cultural genocide with little support outside of Pakistan since Turkey at the time wasn't as engaged as it is now under Erdogan while Armenia had the backing of the USSR and then Russia.

Maybe one day with the introduction of representative governments and a growing coalition that sees us extricate the US while growing closer to Russia and economically/militarily more powerful we can reverse those decisions made by repressive, unrepresentative regimes of the past and present.
