Rangers siege Farooq Sattar’s home in Karachi

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh surrounded Tuesday evening the streets leading towards Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) senior leader Dr Farooq Sattar’s home in Karachi’s PIB Colony.

According to initial reports a heavy contingent of the paramilitary forces are present in the neighbourhood closer to the MQM leader’s residence.

Four Rangers personnel arrested over MQM worker’s custodial death

Party leaders Wasay Jalil and Nadeem Nusrat confirmed the development.

“[It is a] part of strategy to criminalise/terrorise MQM leadership to compel it to switch loyalty,” Rabita Committee convener Nadeem Nusrat tweeted.

Meanwhile, speaking to a private TV channel, Sattar said, “I will first speak to DG Rangers before facing the raiding party.”

“This is not the right way to approach me. Are we the country’s enemies?”

No refuge was given to any criminal, added the MQM leader.

Lol Establishment trying to clear Karachi for PTI to win in Karachi, PTI will continue to get slapped around in Karachi, Taliban supporters deserve to be kicked out of Karachi.

The military dictator-turned-quasi democratic president, Pervaiz Mush, needs to be asked why he partnered with the MQM, apparently RAW's weapon of choice against our economic heart, instead of cleaning them up. Does that make Mush an accidental RAW ally? Interesting!

DG Rangers clarified that they were not raiding Farooq Sattar's home --- rather conducting a search op in the same lane because of some intel on criminal elements hiding there. Isn't Farooq Sattar a massive criminal given his association with a RAW-backed mafia?!

What Maj Gen Bilal should have added is that the Rangers can raid Sattar's home if the need is there. The current "clarification" statement seemed almost apologetic!

Establishment is clearing Karachi of people that support target killings, bhatta khoris, and china cutting. RAW supporters should not only be kicked out of Karachi but lined up next to a wall and shot.

Boss, I agree that the truth should always prevail... but unfortunately, Pakistan's political landscape sometimes calls for some muscle flexing to remind certain quarters to stay in line. And initially it did seem to be one of these reminders/intimidation tactics. Hope you understand what I mean.
