Extremely well deserved Promotion. I like his calm demeanor and his spotless track record of handling Karachi OPS. He achieved what 1992 or 1995 Operation tried to achieve and failed miserably but his handling of Ops without arousing public against Operation is app laudable . He has everything to become next CoAS.

What i heard is that Gen. Naveed Mukhtar was the planner and executor of the Karachi Op and Gen Bilal was just the face. Nevertheless, he is a an extremely capable man and will most probably be the next COAS if not for a political decision.
