Azb DMR is sold to civilians with a .308 license for a price of 200k rs. however they is one big issue, POF is not allowed to sell this weapon with in Punjab, idk why but at wah they will not sell it....those who managed to get this weapon had to wait for few months and had to get it to another province through dealer and then bring it back on their license .....it is on my bucket list as soon as licenses open, i will be getting a .308 lic to tick this box off my list
as far as 7.62 x 51 is concerned then POF is not selling is ammo to civilians, but they sell the Hunting and Match grade .308 rounds to anyone with a valid license .....if someone is looking for 51N rounds then green tip Nato rounds from LMG can be bought from Peshawar or Darra.....

This .308 is on my list too ... hopefully when MOI for this cal is opened.

i don't have a use for AK74 either, yet i have it....i don't have a use for M4 either yet i am in process of building it ....same goes for .308.....you just get the urge......

308 for a mid range Target practice.....good sport it is....

What would you use it for?? Hunting?
I really don't see much practical use for these.

It was stand of some Army Unit. And I checked with various soldiers. They all confirmed me same thing. That it used to be imported and now produced in Pakistan and if I am right they were telling same to some foreign dignitaries.

It's one dam heavy Rifle.

bro you can get the license in punjab....just go to your local dealer or dealers in Lahore, if you are not able to, let me know i will put you in contact with a dealer, he will charge 18k for a Punjab license ......

Speak with a few owners for what you want it for (SD at home or travel etc) and get right one at the start instead of what I did ... Went through quite a few until settled for 9mm CZ SP01 (travel & home) and .22lr Walther P22Q (for everyday carry conceal within city). Makarov 8 or 12 shots are good for everyday conceal carry but I've had a lot of practice with small and light .22lr so it does it for me. For home and travel, any high capacity 9mm will do. Norinco 9mm are good for home defense.

@balixd .. are you getting good supply of CZ these days? By end of 2014 it had all but dried up due to import bans and whatnot by PMLN gov.

I missed out on MOI AK license at the end of PPP gov, but I heard quite a few got cancelled too later on.

That begs the question about other calibre .338 & .308 that was made by this company. That means they bought all manufacturing for the 3 calibres and not just one.

to be honest Makarov is a great gun for CCW and that 9 x18 has enough power to stop the assailant however but ammunition can be an issue, these days is available in Peshawar and Kohat, but not much stock in Twin cities, if stock gets dried up, you will see the hike in prices. Last year i was planning to get Makarov but after all of thought process and looking at my budget and i ended up with Tokarev 9mm a local made clone of Norinco 213, it is full size gun with manual safety and a potent round of 9mm which we have in abundance.....it is single stack so very slim profile.....

there are few pieces still around the block but prices are insanely high, 230k for CZ Phantom or shadow, 150k for a CZ p07 duty, Norinch NP42, NP22, for 85-96k......
with regards to AK 47 license then you are luck and unlucky at same time....lucky that you didn't get into this mess, a friend of mine was arrested by CTD Islamabad in 2017 because his lic was among the ones that was fake, he was charged under Anti Terrorism Law, luckily after all lot of wasta and the dealer himself testifying in court that it was all him , the guy was let go off......

with due respect to your Soliders and Officers, I have had pretty bad experiences with these folks. A Civilian knew more than 'Officers' and Soliders ..... they are trained to fight man and how that weapon works, that is all .....they don't do research, they don't know anything else.....they just know their weapon, if it is an LMG, he is mother and father of that LMG, if it is a MP5, he will take care of that Baby, and will field strip that weapon inside out in no time, but you try asking question out of ordinary and they will be blank....
