Missile artillery has come a long way. Combining an artillery warhead like this with sensor fuzed weapons and putting it on top of a Artillery Rocket already in service with the Pakistan Army: A-100 MRL; the PA could strike IA battle groups and their C4ISR before they have a chance to invade Pakistan.

Information the Chinese Sensor Fuzed weapon: "Terminal Sensing Ammunition"

No doubt rocket artillery is a rapid long range weapon, but rockets leave smoke trails which may expose location of your assets.

That maybe a risk the Rocket forces will have to take to get the job done.

Looks like a solution looking for a problem. There are better ways to get the job done.

A-100 rockets are guided and they already support bomblet load.

This weapon can be procured in small quantities for specialised tasks, although the same tasks can be accomplished by cruise missiles and rockets with improved range like SY-400.

not a big deal for an off road mobile shoot and scoot system.

Sir we need a-300 and sy-400 in conjunction with kolchuga type esm radar.
And sir they're not for specialised tasks their
scope of mischief is far far broader.

True. Which specialized tasks do you think this artillery shell would be best at over the other options you mentioned?

Maybe a scaled up version would be the same as the Indian K-15 SLBM; and could be something Pakistan can try to match to have a faster sea based second strike missile at a modest cost.

Not many tbh.

I mean to say that at a range of 150km, your targets in India include:

  • Regional Command centers.
  • Fuel dumps
  • Bridges
  • Electrical grid
  • Radar installations
  • Railway infrastructure, esp cargo
  • Air bases
  • Weapons storage
  • HAS
  • C4ISR network
  • UAV bases
  • Reserve forces, armor
  • Helipads
These targets can't be neutralized using a long range artillery shell.

You need something with onboard guidence like cruise missiles or SY-400 type rockets.

Sir can't it also increase the range of an existing
Mlrs warhead if the accuracy of it's guidance system allows it.
