Rambo Gurkha in solo Taliban blitz

The Martial race theory is fairly obsolescent now...
There is a little characteristic passed on.. but that is more of an imprint of society..and removes itself over the ages.
There are races that are mistrusting of others simply because in their history they have had bad experiences.. so that is passed down..usually not by direct indoctrination.. but by the observations of the newer generations seeing their predecessors...once these people have a different exposure to the world.. the opinion may change.
Take a sikh or Pathan..raise him in an effeminate environment filled with ballet, cotton candy and fashion.. see if he carries his supposed martial traits.
The same applies to Maratha,Punjabi's and Germans.

in combat...when the combat is actually happening...the height proves to be the only advantage...or do you say that there was no fighting?or that you did not have the height advantage?

and you 3 of them down with your martial prowess?it was used against an enemy expecting such an attack and ready for it.Do you like going to war with half measures?it is stupid if you do so.

so it should have been more prudent had we brought out our 5000 against your 5000 and called you guys out from your hidden posts for a one-on-one mano-e-mano right?
your post defies logic.Any country would use as much of it's trained men as it can once threatened with armed aggression.

ans that is precisely why kargil was such a misadventure for you.

my reply was only to UrbanizedGreyhound's claim that Ghurkas are supermen/martial race.

.
very true,

by the way the warrior races exist in every culture

Rajput and Jaats are the ones that faced off the Greeks
the people of Pakistani tribal areas are also exceptional
name any tribe be it Mehsods, Afradis etc etc.

the Hazara in Pakistan & Afghanistan are the decedents of Mongols and their appetite for war is also well known. Not to forget a Baloch Marri

I am telling you, that guy is so devout and motivated that he can outlive any human being in the harshest of environments and pressure. His endurance and resolve is legendary. They are the bread and butter of the BLA insurgency. For them the command of their tribal chief is the word of god and there is no room for argument.

We can go on if we move to central Asia be it Chechens or the Vikings & Normans.
Not to forget the Samurai. This debate reminds me of the deadly warrior series on the TV.

Coming back to Gurkhas, their gallantry is a well established fact. From the 2nd world war to the present day.

I think it was Naik Agansing Rai VC who single handed held off the Janapese attack in the Burma front after all his company was killed. He beat off the attackers on his own with the rifle and when the relief arrived it was established the death count of the Japanese killed by him were over 300.

I'll always want a Baluch Marri and Mehsud on my side bro. Great fighters, and fiercely loyal :smitten:

.
Martial races.... Come to Pakistan...BALUCH,PASHTUN,RAJPUT,JATT,SINDHIS,HAZARAS,BALTIS AND OTHERS.....

There are more Rajputs in India than anywhere else...same applies to jats...there are more jats in Haryana than anywhere else...we have garwhalis...sikhs...and other "martial races"...they are all men...like the rest...
gallantry and bravado doesn't need some genetic pattern!
Do you like the Hindu caste system?you can't be staunch critics of the caste system if you support the British colonial theory of martial races on the other hand.
as far as the gurkhas are concerned...they are expert at mountaineering...owing to their higher RBC count as they have lived in conditions having lesser O2...that is it...nothing martial in that...

.
Proud Dogra right here

I can say that all "martial races" as the British would say, are all great warriors one way or another. It intrigues me to find pakistanis boasting on Kshatriya clans such as Rajputs, Dogras, Jatts, etc as they all belong to the Hindu varna caste system right?

we're not supporting this theory of "Martial races", PN was only making a point by giving example and unfortunately you took him seriously. The only people here who are boasting about martial races and superhuman ability is you indians. IMO every race has strong and weak people and jatts, sikhs, rajputs, and ghurkas are no exception.

Exactly, Ghurkas are mostly good at mountian warfare which is why they are deployed in mountainous regions mostly. I don't think they would fare as well in a desert environment so the "supermen/martial race" theory that urbanizedgreyhound was boasting about is flawed.

............india had political and diplomatic advantage..............
Why do you always say "india had political and diplomatic advantage" after you lose??
If you are so "brave" and fighting for what you think "rightfully" belongs to you then why do you care about others??
............our leadership backed out..............
why did your "powerful military" leadership back out??...........Did they realize, its tougher fighting a war than overthrowing a civilian govt.??
............India also used its air force ..............
what stopped Pakistan from using Its Air-force......political and diplomatic disadvantage??...OR...the fear of retaliation from IAF.
............35,000 troops while fighting only 5,000 Pakistani Paramilitary soldiers ..............
If 5,000 "brave" Pakistani Paramilitary soldiers can fight 35,000 indian troops then why did they sneakily occupy the empty bunkers of Indian soldiers?? why didn't they attack and occupy the bunkers when Indian soldiers were stationed at those bunkers.
............that we lost more troops while withdrawing and not during the actual combat ..............
Ha Ha Ha......what a disgrace........."brave" Pakistanis running away with their tails down......you always withdraw like this and latter say India had political and diplomatic advantage, as if, "had it not been for USA, we would have conquered India"

Yet marris are leading baloch insurgency and mehsuds are leading taliban insurgency against you.....your turi tribe was fiercely loyal to british while mehsuds and marris were opposite.
The question arises who is more respectable? Fiercely independent mehsuds and marris or loyal turis and khattaks?...the answer is difficult.

.
Too bad Gurkhas were b*****s of the British... Otherwise they would have done a mighty well job liberating their country... They are traitors though

.
I dont know why Icarus is surprised at Marathas. They mostly fought mughal armies made up of local hindu & muslim population. Anyway where was Indian army gurkhas when ravan sita ko utha kar le gheya tha?

pakistani full movie tere pyar main-HD-
