Ramadan likely to begin July 21

Abu Dhabi: Most Islamic countries may begin the holy month of Ramadan on July 21, after the sighting of the crescent moon, the Islamic Crescent Observation Project (ICOP) has said.

ICOP chairman Mohammad Showkat Awda said most Islamic countries would start monitoring the Ramadan crescent moon from July 19.



However, the moon would not be visible in all regions of the world because it will set along with the sun. Thus it will not be possible to see it even with powerful telescopes. It will be seen only from the far south of Africa and South America.

Many northern and middle eastern regions should complete the month of Sha'aban with 30 days and observe the beginning of Ramadan on Saturday, July 21, he said.

Very difficult to follow Roza in hot July.
There is no subsitute of good health.
Health is always first.
But ramzan is good to bear hardships and hunger, it allows to look at poor people they lives and how food is necessary and blessing.

Sir no excuse accepted here Sir Sahabas also kept roza and they faced the worst situations ever you are still in most comfortable zones only those illness are accepted which can cause you death not because of a little problem you run away from Ramazan

For all you people complaining about Ramadan in Pakistan or Mid east, in Canada the fast will be from like 4 am to 10:30 pm. And we have to work normal days, no half days for us. So no excuses.

This year in india ramadan will be in the rainy season and for next 3 years as well so it will be a great chilling wheather during ramadan

27 Ramadhan, you know the importance, and Pakistan being created on that day is no miracle/co-incidence but meant to be created that day.
