And tax them heavily. Too many Muslims have become "professional hajis", going on Hajj and Umrah many times to collect as many "divine points" as possible.

The recent ijtema in Malaysia caused spread of Corona all over Southeast Asia and possibly South Asia.

I have simple and instant solutions to each and every problem of Pakistan. I mentioned tax because people understand this terminology.
Formula i have in my head for second Hajj permission is, any one willing for second Hajj shall pay cost of another first time Hajji in same package he opt. for him self.
People generally don't find taxation a fair deal.... but they can always pay if they see some good coming out of their payments... remember Pakistan is most charitable country of the world. Our poor fed from the charities by Pakistanis not because of taxes govt. collect. Try asking this to Hindus of Thar Desert.

On the subject of congregating for religious obligations, Islam only requires Muslims to get together for Hajj.
This shall be clear to all Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
Besides slat, our prophet used to contemplate in solitude in a cave, away from city. So this is not even Sunnah. Hence can't be termed as Islamic. At max it's band of brothers.

Schools should and are in fact closed! What world are you living in. They're using distance learning methods.

As for supermarkets, I don't believe you have supermarkets in your home. You can pray from your home, but you can't setup a market and buy groceries at your own damn home.
Offices are also closed where possible, and distance work is being used! But for jobs which require physical labor, although they're closed, some are trying to keep it opened due to loss of business, you can't survive on an empty stomach on you.

Now, how does this relate to some religious gathering or prayer?
- Are you going to die of hunger and lose wages if you don't go pray together with thousands others.
- Do you have supermarkets at home? Unlike prayer, you can't buy groceries at home.

So, please, stop pretending or acting dumb if that's what you're doing.
