They are the US equivalent of the xenophobic parties in Europe, though perhaps not as bad. Lets see if this defeat reverses that tide.

The defeat aint gonna reverse the tide. Just heard prominent conservatives yesterday arguing the future course of the praty and a vast # of them wanted to stay clear of moving in the middle, i.e. stay where they are to the right, appeal to church goers, social conservatives for times to come. It was at the Republican governer's convention. Many do feel that Obama having the so called"most liberal voting record" in the senate will cause moral decay in the nation, radical changes in policies. Many neo-cons do beileive that they oughta stand for their values, fight for em' and preserve America as they see it, a Christian nation.
