I know a lot of you wish and dream for that sort of disruption in India but Indians are are made of better stuff. Generations of Pakistanis have nurtured and died with that kind of unfulfilled envy.

If the CEO has risen through the ranks of the same company then no award. Raheel Shareif is cleaning up few of the mistakes that Pakistan Army and ISI made. The job is not done yet.

In an extrinsically motivated society, your view would not fly with people. Besides, Gen. Raheel never expected to be lauded or rewarded for the undertaking he took. This is merely the world's appreciation for the steps he took under the overwhelming odds he faced as commander in chief. Such lauding gives an indication that this is what the people want from him.
