LOL! Whats the range on those missiles? You know that the Hornets can carry 4 anti-ship missiles per plane with 500+km. Reminds of of the power of battleship Yamato that was sunk by planes.

S-300 - against the Jets. Against missiles "Peter the Great" has almost three hundred smaller air defence missiles and 6 air-defence rapid-fire guns.
If this ship come to the aircraft carrier at 700 km - AC will be sunk with almost 100% guarantee.

Enough to keep the umbrella from the aircraft and anti-ship missiles before "Peter the Great" closer to the target at 700 km.

I hope its not subsonic tomahawks lol those will be intercepted with ease by Pyotr Velikiy.But rather If I was captain of Pyotr Velikiy I would fear the los angeles or seawolf class submarine than some aircraft carrier group. Like it or not that nuclear cruiser has more chances against a carrier and its escorts ,plus there is now hypersonic zircon missile with 1000 km range to replace granit.. But Velikiy nuclear cruiser and its escorts will stand no chance against a seawolf submarine .This was from an interview of a former captain from soviet navy .

Doubt that. Once the carrier group detects it, it just goes flank speed which by the way is fast for a carrier of that size. Launch its aircraft and fire missiles at it.

Even subsonic missile with nuke can do that vostok. Pyotr Velikiy is a very powerful surface vessel ,but it is not a match for a seawolf . This from former captain of soviet navy on pyotr velikiy.

Well, "Seawolf" at the moment - the most advanced submarine. I think the only Yasen-M will become a rival for it, but they will be in service no earlier than 2017-2020 years.
Any submarine is in the wining position relative to a surface ship. We've got a slightly different argument - they say "Peter the Great" will not go the distance defeat, and I say it can.

Any missile with a nuke will destroy any Russian ship.
