I actually agree- 2012 Olympics, as much as Brit media would like to down play or ignore, has been an utter shambles in all ways possible.

+ in many ways I actually think 2010 CWG was much better. And the criticsms and scorn showered upon India back then despite being in many ways undeswerved has not been similary showered on UK even though much of the same criticms are present in UK and many other serious issues.

@abindonboy brit media is ignoring it but world media aren't.... Everyone talking about flop london olympic. At my place people were laughing when they saw opening ceremony when elizabeth jumped from helicopter. Also when patients were dancing. Many of them went to sleep when rock band was playing. It was annoying to watch them. Kind of alot boring.... Only olympic torch we loved but guess what? Even that flame out for the first time in olympic history.... Thats a shame. i havent met anyone yet who told me they loved london olympic. Its not even a week yet.... God knows what else will jump up from controversy box....

OLYMPIC sailors have been forced to temporarily abandon the athletes' village in southwest England after sewage came out of their showers.

Australian gold medal hopeful Nathan Outteridge was forced to spend a night in a hotel overnight after the foul-smelling effluent bubbled up into a bathroom area.

"On the second night there was some issue and there was s coming out of the downstairs shower," he said.

"They did a good job and got us out of the village and put us in a hotel and they fixed it overnight.

"It was just a minor drama - it happens."

A number of other sailors were forced to temporarily abandon the village, which is a stone's throw from the Olympic sailing venue in Weymouth.

All have since been allowed back and the problem fully rectified.

Mean while Outteridge, 26, who is hoping to win the 49er skiff class, revealed some of his Olympic Games superstitions - including refusing to cut his hair or beard.

"I'll have a shave just before the competition starts, but the main rule is you don't have a haircut," he continued.

"Sailors generally also don't wear regatta clothing but when it's standard issue you don't have much choice."

He also revealed that it's bad luck to wear green on sailing boats - but was speaking while wearing the green and gold of Australia.

"I guess we don't have a whole lot going for us at the moment!" he joked.

I'm starting to agree with this notion, this Olympics has had many controversies and scandals compared to others in the past. As for racist Tweets interestingly enough it appears most of the racism among professional athletes themselves are coming from western athletes.

Racism is sure to rear its ugly head whenever this many nations compete, but Twitter now gives it an easily accessible broadcast platform. A racist Twitter comment made against Rafaeli Silva, a Brazilian judo fighter, by another competitor eliminated from the competition was condemned by Brazil's Olympic Committee. Michel Morganella, a Swiss soccer player who was sore about losing to South Korea, was expelled from the games for calling the team a "bunch of mongoloids" that "can go burn." And Greek triple-jumper Voula Papachristou never even made it to the games, banned for a July 22 tweet that read, "So many Africans in Greece at least West Nile mosquitoes will eat homemade food."

Guy Adams, an L.A.-based editor for The Independent, had his Twitter account suspended after issuing a series of tweets that were highly critical of NBC's time-delayed coverage -- one of which encouraged his followers to e-mail a high-level NBC Sports executive to complain, with the executive's e-mail address included. Adams later had his account reinstated.

@kevrai that made me laugh alot.... There are so many controversies going on every each day.... By the way all the empty seats are filled by soldiers who are warned not to wear military dress. They told to wear civilian dress.... What the hell going on in London olympic.... Its the most controversial olympic ever.... Just hold your breath.... This week, Swiss soccer player Michel Morganella was expelled by the Swiss Olympic Committee after posting a racially offensive tweet about South Koreans immediately following Switzerland’s 2-1 loss to South Korea on Sunday.

WeAreFootball.com translated the tweet from French to English. “I want to beat up all South Koreans! Bunch of mentally handicapped retards! I f--- all Koreans, go all burn yourselves. Ahahahaha bunch of ’tards,” he wrote.

Undercover police arrest Lithuanian fan for alleged ‘monkey chants’ during basketball game against Nigeria

The 36-year-old fan, who has not been identified, was arrested "on suspicion of a racially aggravated public-order offence," according to a Scotland Yard spokesman. It is just the latest among several racially tinged incidents to have arisen in London over the past week.

First, Greek triple jumper Voula Papachristou lost her shot at competing in the games after posting a tweet about Africans and the West Nile virus; several days later, Swiss soccer player Michel Morganella was sent away following a discriminatory tweet about his South Korean opponents. And now, monkey chants.

Making matters worse, it sounds like this was just the most recent instance of racially insensitive behavior from a small group of Lithuanian fans. According to the Evening Standard, the undercover operation that eventually nabbed the 36-year-old fan was initiated following multiple public complaints "about the behaviour of a small section of Lithuania supporters during a match against Argentina on Sunday," which included what appeared to be a fan (reportedly the same one later arrested) directing a Nazi salute at two black volunteers.

Universal law is what goes around, comes around.... Brits did its best to make fun of cwg.... Now india not even making fun of olympic because world is doing it.... Thats what we call power of Karma.... i have seen on tv bunch of white athelets showing middle finger to black athelets and black athelets ignored it.... A guard at stadium called a brit soldier as baby killers of afghanistan.... There are many things goin on which are not reported in media.... But i saw a south korean athelet kept crying because she lost due to some clock system.... She wouldnt move and kept crying. People came and picked her up so other match can start.... it never happened like this all controversies before. London olympic will be a stain on sports....
