Guys, read all my posts in this thread. I was telling the same things that Pinaki is telling in this video. However, I did not receive many thanks for it and someone systematically clicked "HahA" as if he is the biggest Pundit here.

Knowing the shallow understanding of international affairs our people have, I am not that surprised, though!! But, I feel very sorry for them that they cannot get an answer to the simple math of (2 + 2). They keep on talking vague and unrelated things like QUAD, American F-16s and others.

I am sure that with the sanction against RAB, people would come out without the fear of being hit by bullets or being kidnapped, and democracy will gradually come back that will result in a fair general election supervised by a "Caretaker Government". Democracy must prevail over autocracy.

Hasina Bibi autocracy is now in deep water.

I want the opposition parties to come out in scores and voice their demands and criticism. I know our BAL cronies in the PDF are fearful of this. But this is certainly going to happen. Can one think of a BAL Honeymoon without RAB bullets??

I want another person to be sanctioned. He is general Moeen now living in the USA. He should be expelled from there for his role in giving a 2/3rd majority to the BAL party in the fake election on 12 January 2009, and subsequently, BAL revoked the provision of an election-time "Caretaker Government" with its 2/3rd majority.

Because of his greed to become the President that BD is suffering from the consequences of turning to a Rogue State. BAL finally refused to make him the President, but the country gradually fell to this rogue status.

Yes, General Moeen went to Delhi and again General Aziz also went there for the extension of his military job.

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen spoke by telephone with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken amid Dhaka's dissatisfaction with the US sanctions against the RAB and its seven former and current officials.

Bangladesh Ambassador to US M Shahidul Islam said the two spoke on the telephone on Wednesday evening.
However, the content of their discussion was not immediately known.

On the occasion of International Human Rights Day, the US Treasury Department on Friday announced the imposition of sanctions on the assets of 15 individuals and 10 organizations in various countries for alleged "grave human rights violations".

The list includes former RAB director general and current IGP Benazir Ahmed along with former RAB-6 commander in Cox's Bazar Miftah Uddin Ahmed.

Separately, the US State Department has asked for the names of 12 officials from different countries to be added to the US travel ban list.

The names of Bangladesh's Elite Force RAB, its former director general Benazir Ahmed and five other former and current officers are included in that list.

The Bangladesh Foreign Ministry summoned Earl Miller, the US ambassador to Dhaka, in response to the sanctions. He was asked to deliver the message to Washington.

"Foreign Secretary Masood bin Momen has expressed frustration with the US government's unilateral decision without any discussion with the Bangladesh government," the foreign ministry said in a statement.

Later, in a virtual press conference on Tuesday, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen told reporters that he would hold talks with the United States to lift the ban. And he was optimistic about success.

Whatever the State Minister says to defend his BAL govt, the reality is sooo different. Please read a few lines of excerpts from the wiki below about what RAB and Police have been doing to stop the democracy movement:

ঐ ভিডিও দেখে আমি যতদুর বুঝলাম, আর সেটা হল এই স্যংকশনে বিপদে পড়বে জাস্ট যারা স্যংকশন খাইছে তারা আর তাদের পরিবার। আর র‍্যাবে কেউ কাজ করতে আসতে চাইবে না ( এটারও অবশ্য অনেক দিক আছে, থাক সেসব কথা)! বাংলাদেশের কোন বিপদ হবে না। মানে বাংলাদেশের বিপদ না হলে কোয়াড তত্ব তো খাটেই না!

আর পন্ডিত মশাই সেখানেও হাসিনা, আওয়ামী লীগ, স্বৈরাচার দেখে আসলেন। এতেই প্রমাণ হয় যে জাপান প্রবাসী অতি উৎসাহী পন্ডিত গণ আসলে বাংলাদেশ কেই ভুলে গেছেন। না হলে ১০ মিনিটের ভিডিও দেখে কেউ এত উত্তেজিত হয়?

"কিন্তু এখানে যে অস্পষ্টতা থেকে যায় সেটা হচ্ছে, তারা যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে ভিসা বা ভ্রমণে যেতে পারবেন কিনা। যদি এধরনের স্যাঙ্কশন এনটিটি থাকে, তার সাথে যুক্তদের ভিসা পেতে অনিশ্চয়তা থাকে। পরে কেউ যদি এই প্রতিষ্ঠানে না থাকেন, তাহলে কি তারা ভিসা পেতে পারেন? - হ্যাঁ পেতে পারেন। এ সব নিয়ে আইনে অস্পষ্টতা রয়েছে," বলেন অধ্যাপক রীয়াজ।
তিনি উল্লেখ করেন আইনে এটা স্পষ্ট যে, যে কর্মকর্তাদের চিহ্নিত করে নিষেধাজ্ঞা দেয়া হয়েছে, তাদের উপরই আসলে এর প্রত্যক্ষ প্রতিক্রিয়া পড়বে।
