Ra'ad Cruise Missile of Pakistan

Only Mods can merge the threads , you have no control once you post the thread. May i suggest you only start one thread on a topic , and post it in the relevant section.
Also do try to read up on the rules of the forum.

this is good suggestion, i do follow thanks...

Two words for RAAD "Accuracy and Perfection". Increase the strength of Pakistan strategic forces.

It is there on internet traveling at at very low speed.

Dumbo. That's not a slow speed.

What children with no hard scientific/defence anchors don't realize is that missile is traveling around 800/900 km/h....BUT SO IS THE MIRAGE FIGHTER JET RECORDING IT.

Hence, in the video, it looks "very low speed" but in reality, it is traveling on speeds that it should travel.

It is not designed to hit Dehli, whoever got that Impression. There are much more juicier targets all along the border for that. Critical C4I nodes that fall well within that range.

More likely, it will used to nuke Indian columns on Pakistani soil.

Nope, there are other weapons for that. Its usage will be focused on certain key C4I cites within its range.

The system has the added capability of real time remote monitoring of missile flight path.

Great achievement. At least one institution of the country is working properly, the armed forces.

Ra'ad is characterised with an inherent Air-Borne System (ABS) for Enhanced Target Identification and Accuracy (ETIA) on air-to-air mission. This feature, sources mentioned, is designed to augment the missiles operational efficacy under ‘less optimum and even zero optimum’ weather conditions.

  1. RAAD is a turbojet –powered cruise missile,

  2. It has an operational range of 350 Km,

  3. It has stealth capabilities and pinpoint accuracy,

  4. It can also be described as low- altitude, terrain hugging with high maneuverability,

  5. It can deliver nuclear and conventional warheads,

  6. It has enabled Pakistan to achieve a greater strategic and stand-off capability on land and sea,

  7. Four successive flight tests of RAAD missile have been launched by Pakistan,

  8. Pakistan’s development of cruise missiles would give it a deterrence against India’s quest for neutralizing the ballistic missile based nuclear deterrent of Pakistan by deploying BMD.

India has been busy testing low flying small UAV's that replicate cruise missiles, So yes Ra'ad is in mind of India when its preparing for deterrence

Indian Generals were ever busy in maneuvering and utilizing their conventional superiority, and devised many plans too. With greater conventional superiority, they sometimes talked about a limited war, or of surgical strikes, sometimes of punishing Pakistan, once they were able to eliminate the Pakistani missile threat; and according to their General Sunderji’s theory, they will dissect Pakistan into two.

These were the developments that led Pakistan to develop a new and a very effective class of nuclear weapons, that can be termed as “doctrine busters”.

That has been happening for years on this side as well. Cheap and easy to do.

yup, DRDO is rigorously working towards aerostat radar,s that would give a clearer picture of ground hughing missiles at a safe distance to engage

It would really be handy if anti runway version is developed too.

Pakistan has indigenously developed air-launch cruise missile, Hatf-VIII (Ra’ad). The Ra’ad cruise missile with stealth capabilities is a low altitude, terrain-hugging missile with high maneuverability, and can deliver nuclear and conventional warheads with pin point accuracy. Instead of carrying conventional warheads, the cruise missiles are engineered to deliver either conventional or nuclear payloads. If it can overcome significant technological hurdles – including miniaturizing nuclear warheads – Pakistan clearly envisions a nuclear role for its cruise missile program. Pakistan’s nuclear-capable cruise missiles have the potential to complicate India’s decision-making calculus and even constrain Indian strategic behavior. First, Pakistan’s cruise missiles will pose a serious challenge to India’s fledgling missile defence system. Second, the addition of cruise missiles to Pakistan’s arsenal can obscure the distinction between tactical and strategic weapons, thereby complicating nuclear signaling by creating a degree of uncertainty in the minds of Indian decision-makers.
