Very positive. Common people have no negative view of china... Everything is liked starting from Chinese food to Chinese people...... Only one negative point i find which is related to Uyghur people!! Then again, Bangladeshis hardly know about them... So overall everything is very positive.

During my school days we used to sew our exercise books by ourselves. We would buy some magazines to use their thick colorful pages as covers for those exercise books we sewed at home as well as for newly bought text books. Those magazines were almost exclusively of Chinese origin, I still remember one name 'China Pictorial'. I didn't know what was written on their pages. They had photographs of magnificent temples (or buildings looking like temples), beautiful landscapes, people wearing strange looking colorful dresses, children playing, martial artists in action etc. Till this day any mention of China immediately, for a moment, brings me back to those magazine pages.

Back then we were exposed to very few industrial products that were of Chinese origin, perhaps none. If there was something not from USA or Europe that was from India. They were of very poor quality, far worse than our homemade products, but cheap. Then came one day when those Indian origin cheap products of our market were replaced by Chinese products, shockingly with quality remaining similarly poor.

Now in retrospect I see my perception of China changed with what I saw belonged to them. Colorful dresses, beautiful landscapes and architecture on one hand and the cheap miserable products on the other hand. Whatever be our educated perception- polished by information and critical thinking- it may not be wrong to articulate a natural perceiving mechanism of human mind exposed to anything foreign, that is 'You are what you sell'.

don't answer that pork question but what amazes me is how the Uighur problem was put in the backburner with a vague mention of it.. somebody said we treat them as brothers and sisters and thats it ?? people just took words at face value ?

China has been great friend and development partner of Bangladesh since 75. I can not stretch this enough. Any investment from China must be welcome.

What Bangladeshi love most about China is that they never ever make any comments about Bd's internal matter. This wonderful character of China greatly appreciated by Bangladeshis.
