Question for some here

The original Afghan Taliban (which is still ruling most of Afghanistan) were not responsible for 9/11. Please, these guys dont even know where US is on the world map but they know how to fight invaders. They are AFGHANS NOT ARABS.

The US blames Al Queda for 9/11 which is/was lead by ARAB Osama Bin Laden.

Al Queda and Taliban are two different groups.

Do some research before writing up a post next time.

research and indians ????     man don't joke, Indians never think from their minds, so how can they do research.

Hey.. the fact is America did attack afghanistan and taliban is now fighting occupational forces(just like what they where doing against USSR).

Afghans deserve a better future, free from america, Russia and Taliban. Whatever logic that we have against american occupation in Afghanistan, supporting Taliban would be equated to supporting the worst possible life that an afghan citizen can have.

They have proved it during their rule in 90's and i would ask my Pakistani brothers not to repeat the mistake that they did when they supported Taliban in removing Russians end of the day afghans are the one who is going to be the sufferers.

sir, Pakistan did not support taliban in defeating Russians, taliban were not even formed when russians left afghanistan. taliban were born due to the puppet govt in Kabul and due to the unjustness prevailing in afghanistan. if u look at the history of taliban, their movement started after some warlord or local leader kind of thing sexually molested a child, in retaliation a group of guys responded and from there the taliban movement started.

I don't support taliban as they did some very bad things not even Islam allows them, but i do commend them for bringing peace in Afghanistan and after decades of chaos there was some peace (no fighting & killing).

Yeah , Thats why In the world Pakistan is ranked 10 in the worlds most failure country.... Get your facts right, Your computers itself work on the chip made by an Indian,So speak sense.... Computers itself came because of an Indian, and with the very same comp u bale us... pity you.

Dude, man u r something, computers started way back in 40s, no Indian names at that time, do read the history of computers then tell.

So just chill.

The day we fail, then come to us and say that thing, till then just keep reading western BS and be in peace.

Those who are termed responsible were bred and brought in the US itself too. The Afghan Taliban did asked the US to provide proof and they will look into it if Osama was realy responsible for 9/11 or not and if US proves so, Mullah Omar promised to take action against OBL. But US had attacked Afghanistan and for the last 8 years is killing innocent women and childern there.
There were attacks against US overseas, such as the USS Cole, which was NOT in Afghanistan just in case you did not know, that were linked to al-Qaeda. So this is not just about the attack on US soil on Sept. 11, 2001. The US, even under the pacifist President Bill Clinton, tried to negotiate with Mullah Omar, not only to hand over Osama bin Laden, but merely to evict al-Qaeda from Afghanistan. Osama bin Laden's fourth wife was supposedly one of Omar's daughters, so are you that naive to believe that Omar will 'take action against OBL'?

The only thing you have the courage to do now is to overly romanticize the Taliban and to strain credulity to portray them to be the victims of US 'aggression'. But the hard fact is that after Sept. 11, 2001, all negotiations except one are off the table and that is to physically hand over Osama bin Laden, which Omar did not do and that condemned Afghanistan, to put it bluntly, to US resolve and military might, which to their misery they severely underestimated. Members of the Taliban who were conveniently portrayed by US as heroic mujahedeens during the Soviet occupation now to their dismay found their muslims brethens to be as fickle as US foreign policies. No one came to their aid and now we American infidels roam Afghanistan at will, on ground and in the air, after we spectacularly defeated one of the ME's most feared dictatorships -- the Saddam Hussein regime in Iraq.

We do not occupy Afghanistan with the goal of making Afghanistan into another Iraq. The ummah underestimated US before Desert Storm, before 9/11, before the occupation of Iraq and it looks like the Taliban is repeating the same mistake now. The message now is the same as it was then: Hand over Osama bin Laden, DoA, ASAP.

I do agree with Afghanistan but not IRAQ.

@Jana, its strange to accuse USA of not negotiating with Taliban. Terrorists and Taliban are two sides of the same coin. There should not be any negotiation with them, i thought you might have already learned your lessons from SWAT.

U r really dumb, do u know that ??? Off course u don't, u said computers, the electric computers started to work in 1940s, there is a hell of a difference between a Pentium chip & computers. Pentium chip is not a computer.

Kindly do some thinking before posting.

Yo brother.. are you saying no Indians contributed to the growth of IT in this world?? Please clarify.

oh yeh rememberd. Just a small question Why India negotiated with "terrorists" and released them in that case ;)

And oh what about Indian drama in 71 when India hijacked its own plane to Pakistan to malign us?

Mind you. State of Pakistan and Pakistani government do not support them.
The Views here on this forum are our personal and views of individuals so my dear Indian please do not mislead the world by attributing our views to State of Pakistan.
The State of Pakistan is with its ally US rather doing much better than US itself.

The American war on terror has cost Pakistan more than 35 billion dollars.

As far as the aid is concerned more than half of it used for security of US facilities including consulates and embassy besides CIA offices.

They are doing no ehasn on us.

Beautiful, serene and lovely country like Afghanistan is in gallows not because of Pakistan or Taliban But Russia and US and their long term hegmonic policies.

First Russia invaded Afghanistan and now US. It was their game and now its US and Western game which is duely supported by India to get foothold there in Afghanistan.

1)I dont comprehend this one bit....Mullah Omar...a rag tag terrorist who only came to power by force of gun and instilling fear in the afghan civilians is supposed to be the judge on whether OBL is guilty or not?? And you agree with this...Im shocked!!!

And even then, lets just say that Mullah Omar is just and an upholder of the law,OBL's implication in 9/11 is out in the open, why not hand him over to the US now??? Isnt that what the US seeks.....to finish OBL and AlQaeda? Wouldnt that save Mullah's Afghanistan?? Obviously this is more about the synergy of ideologies of the Taliban and Al Qaeda!!!

And mind you even a half wit with no eyes or ears would be able to understand that one does not harbor a murderous terrorist like OBL if you dont share the same views.....so much so that the Taliban assasinated Ahmad Shah Masoud right before 9/11 to prevent him from warning the US about the attack on WTC......
How do you explain this???

Please dont try to sell me turd and pass it off as a brick.....I wasnt born yesterday!!!

And about the US killing women and chilrdren, have you seen what the Taliban did to women.....I mean you're an educated woman....if you dont see anything wrong with Talibans suppression of women and their rights, and support them, then Im afraid Afghanistan and Pakistan are doomed!!

2) Well Being a journalist I figured you would've done your due diligence....but let me....

Indian govt. negotiated with the terrorists
a) because there were civilians involved, whose life cannot be compromised.....
b)Your beloved Afghan Taliban surrounded the plane to protect the hijackers preventing intervention by Indian Special forces.....

And you seem to be a specialist at spreading propoganda......

In '71, members of the JKLF Hashim Quereshi and Ashraf Quereshi hijaked a plane and flew it to Lahore where they were given assylum by Pakistan....and Zia....done basically to internationalize the Kashmir issue......Now us Indians might be called many things, but NOT stupid....so there is no reason why we would fly our own plane to Lahore to blow up an issue that we would rather keep mum on.....

Please let me know where you found your version?

3) This is exactly what I mean by twisted logic....So on one hand the State of Pakistan, supports Afghan Taliban since they're Pro-Pakistan....on the other hand, you want to eliminate the Pak-Taliban, who basically share the same views as the Afghans?

Also, if the state of Pakistan is against the Taliban, please explain the rationale behind making a peace deal???

4) Pakistan has spent $35 Bill on fighting insurgency in its own land....I dont think you should be feeling like you're doing anyone any favors by protecting your own land and people.....
As far as I know and the world knows, Pak Army is not fighting in Afghanistan, thats NATO's job.....so when you say the "American WOT"....thats actually your war and they are doing you a huge favor by supporting you financially.....get that right!!!
Whether this money goes to protection or spent on "Mujras" is your business with the US.....if your country cant put its foot down, its their fault if they lose on the deal.....

5) I agree with you here....The Afghan country was massacred due to the Russian invasion....but also by the support for the Taliban Govt. by Pakistan.....and now by the US invasion....

But mind you, war is not something new to the Afghans, education, healthcare, administration, trade etc is what they lack...
At least with the recent development projects due to generous funding from the US and other countries, these people may be able to get some of these things,.......

Also, please dont implicate India when you have zero proof.....we have only helped develop Afghanistan.....pitted more than 2 Billion towards this....more than Pakistan has done for the Afghans.....
Come back to me about India when you have some proof....until then....keep India out of this!!

Thats what we try to do to keep India and Indians out of everything but they are such ******** that they keep coming back. this thread is a perfect example of this.

By the way ur journalists skills reflect when u Thanked the amrnath dude for calling Pentium chip a computer & thanking him for giving the honor of invention of computer to an Indian guy.

U guys don't even have the simple understanding to differentiate between a chip & a computer.

And don't reply back with the above kind of BS, which u guys always keep doing.

1)I dont comprehend this one bit....Mullah Omar...a rag tag terrorist who only came to power by force of gun and instilling fear in the afghan civilians is supposed to be the judge on whether OBL is guilty or not?? And you agree with this...Im shocked!!!

I expect nothing more from someone who has been brainwashed non stop for the last ten years......the afghan civilians had a better life under the taliban then they have now.

You seem to forget that mullah omar asked for evidence then he might hand him over to the saudis.

And mind you even a half wit with no eyes or ears would be able to understand that one does not harbor a murderous terrorist like OBL if you dont share the same views.....so much so that the Taliban assasinated ahmed shah masood right before 9/11 to prevent him from warning the US about the attack on WTC......
How do you explain this???

The same guy OBL who helped the afghans fight the russians ,you want HIM to be handed over to the US.:rofl.......It may be a habit for the americans to give people up that helped them but not the afhgans.

Your point about ahmed shah masood is far fetched.......the taliban had warned the US of an attack not ASM.

And about the US killing women and chilrdren, have you seen what the Taliban did to women.....I mean you're an educated woman....if you dont see anything wrong with Talibans suppression of women and their rights, and support them, then Im afraid Afghanistan and Pakistan are doomed!!

The same BS story of the woman getting executed in the stadium......did you ever ask yourself why she was killed?......its still the same in afganistan the woman wear the burkha...whos forcing them?

They where freedom fighters that where rescued from the indians......hats off to the taliban for helping there brothers.

Some silly deceptions played here with the facts.

The Pashtu of Afghanistan are not an absolute majority. Sorry. They do have a sizable plurality. Please consult google to learn about the differences between plurality and majority.

As such, the latest "western" polls show that the afghan people HATE the taliban. Please understand that when 90% of your nation "somewhat" or "strongly" opposes the taliban, that includes one hell of a lot of Pashtus.

Now, they may hate the GoA too. Lots of reasons to do so but the facts remain that nobody, not even foreign irhabists, are as scorned in afghan society.

Moreover, since that society includes a majority of everybody that ISN'T pashtu, their needs should be heard as well. Sadly, the pashtu leaders of the taliban oppose elections-for good reason.

They'd lose.

Can you imagine Omar on the campaign trail?

Further, under Pakistani self-interested patronage during their rule, neither the taliban nor the Pakistani gov't attempted ANY outreach to others.

It's easy enough to see that the pashtu of Afghanistan don't need to create a very inclusive coalition of like-minded souls to achieve an electoral majority.

But they can't.

Pashtu are increasingly understanding that they can't look to the taliban for any sort of future. They fully appreciate that behind the taliban lies Pakistan's own nefarious interests-none of which promises them more hope than say...

...those in FATA.

Oh boy.

For that reason, it's America's intent to build a government sufficiently stable to withstand these proxy assaults sponsored by your government.

We may need help from other regional partners to see this task through, but see it through we likely will as we can't afford more of the same.

What's saddest to me is the inability of the loons here to understand that were they successful in securing Afghanistan as a safe haven for terror the one country most under threat would be Pakistan.

It'll be worse than ever for you.

If we're defeated, we'll go home.

If you're defeated, you'll go away.

Be ever so careful for what you wish. It may ricochet in spades back upon you in ways now unimaginable.

You are trying to use logic again. :tsk:
Truth dies quickly about here.:agree:

Good taliban, = Afghan Taliban = unwanted in Afghanistan but fight as terrorist in Afghanistan.
The people in Afghanistan still don't want them back.
The people in pakistan are happy for them to take back power in Afghanistan BUT few really will be willing to live under their rule.
Pakistan is happily housing these terrorists fighting in another country. They kill inocent Afghans and YOU in Pakistan say this is OK.

Bad taliban = unwanted in Pakistan. KIll and maim Pakistanis. Have no real allegiance to anything in Pakistan but themselves.

NOT much real difference except who is being killed in what name.

There is no such item as a good or bad taliban they are fundamentally the same.

Good luck with yourself deluding approach.

Ratus, People in Pakistan believe that Pushtoon population of Afghanistan are happy with Talibans..Whether it's true or not i don't know but the problem Pakistanis believe they're helping Afghanistan by helping Taliban as they are liberating them form Taliban.I think if Afghanis really hate Talibans then Americans should make some PR Videos and show them on Pakistani news channel so people realize that Talibans are not accepted in Afghanistan..That and destroy the poppy bussiness and Talibans will be dead..Also, make sure money from gulf countries to talibans is ceased.I am pretty sure America is capable of pulling this off but not sure why they don't do this.In Pakistan taking action against all Pushtun tribes of FATA will cause serious issues as Pushtuns have huge part in security establishment..We're trying to convince them that it's not right to cross border and fight Americans..just stay in your own territory..Of course they're not going to disarm. They never have and they never will.

And the double standard is when one lies through his teeth about 9/11.

When was the last time Taliban were responsible for 9/11????

And btw we support those Taliban who were once creation of CIA to fight Russia.

We now support them because they are fighting the invader US.

And tell me when Taliban have done anything wrong to other countries ?

Sure they didn't do 9/11 but they sure did provide a safe haven for the likes of Osama to live under their rule. In addition, Osama has even financed the Taliban. One of Osama's daughters is also reportedly married to Mullah Omar. There are so many other linkages.......... Aren't they like brothers?

The Taliban and Al-Qaeda are different groups but they do share a common goal. Their goal is to setup a khilafat in Afghanistan and Pakistan. They want their shariah law in both countries.

About this two types of Taliban theory--so you support the 'real' Taliban, or Afghan Taliban, even though they treated the Afghan people very similar to what the Swat Taliban did to Pakistanis? This included complete ban on women's activity outside the house, whipping and beating of women not clothed Taliban-style, execution of adulterers, and amputating thiefs hands. If you read up on their laws you will also know the rest of their barbaric laws.

There is a simple question we need to ask ourselves, would you allow THIS 'real' taliban to rule over Pakistanis in the same way? No. So why do you support them? Why the hypocrisy? We Pakistanis don't want such barbarians to live in our country but we want the Afghan Taliban in charge of Afghanistan. WTF!!??

Should the people of Afghanistan live under these barbarians? No. They deserve better than that. Any human being deserves better than that.

Beautifully put. The "good" and "bad" taliban are two sides of the same coin (no pun intended) and intend the worse for both countries. For Pakistanis to wish upon the afghan brothers and sisters that which they won't tolerate upon their own lands is self-interested hypocrisy.

No woman in her right mind should have to tolerate this from ANYBODY-

The same osama helped the afghans fight the russians.....the taliban where about before osama moved from sudan, you remember sudan dont do you?..the one where osama had a chemical weapons factory and it turned out that it made anti-malaria medicines and veterinary products.

The Taliban and Al-Qaeda are different groups but they do share a common goal. Their goal is to setup a khilafat in Afghanistan and Pakistan. They want their shariah law in both countries.

The taliban wnat to run there own country......how many memebers of the taliban where involved in any attacks on the US before the invasion?
Al-Qaeda are the ones that want to take over all the muslim nations and maybe even western ones.

Maybe if the taliban used lethal injection and the electric chair you would be okay with that.

And its all great now with the US in afganistan where so much better off:crazy:......before the US invasion there was no problem for pakistan on the afghan border now there is.

Should the people of Afghanistan live under these barbarians? No. They deserve better than that. Any human being deserves better than that.

Maybe if you jog your mind back before the taliban where in power you will realize that it was the taliban that bought stability.
