I really want to know what went inside this man's head that he went there.
A judge should be speaking through his judgements and his public interaction should be a minimum, especially when it involves politicians whose cases you hear and are involved in often. Even more especially when you are in the current climate, where you write letters to the CJP seemingly influencing a case, talk about a specific targeted bill in an unrelated case, and have your reference withdrawn by the PM in a jiffy, and where the govt obeys your order to remove the registrar at midnight. Kuch banda aqal hi kar lay.
Most a judge should go is to a bar association meeting or seminar such as that.

As Aitzaz Ahsan said, the current machinations that are going on, they aren't going to damage Ata Bandial as much as they are going to shackle and ruin Faiz Esa's reputation.
He wasn't invited to parliamentary proceedings, he was invited to an event.
The event could have been held in a tent in Liaquat Bagh for all it mattered. Assembly hall was just the venue.

He went there with a plan. He was snubbed by Supreme Court several times in the past 2 weeks. He was thinking he will go there and settle the score. He did not realize this is time of social media.
He will always be controversial. If Pakistan's Supreme Court has any self respect, Faud Isa must be kicked out of the court. He cant be a judge, let alone being a next Chief Justice.
