Buddy egypt is a little child when compared to Pakistan defence forces. Only Pakistan and Turkey have proper professional militaries and extensive inhouse defence production capacity in all of the muslim world.

To be honest, that sounds like sour grapes. If Pakistan had the money and resources like Qatar then they too will be buying the best/modern fighter jets Western powers have to offer. lol They don't simply because they don't have the means to do so.

You totally got me wrong mate, what I meant that as who is creating the conflict and who is selling these expensive toys to all the opponent parties.

Why sour grapes, Pakistan might be interested in the last decade but not anymore, they want sanction free stuff and unfortunately in case of typhoon well you know better than me. We have started our own projects and the jv is with the next door tested neighbour.

Pakistan is much more independent in Military production but it needs more advanced programs..
As for Turkey there are some promising programs needed to be seen in action to actually test it’s capabilities.

US is much more interested in MB government so it was against our revolution.

After our revolution.....us cuts it’s military supplies to Egypt...and that’s why Egypt started to diversify it's weapon supplies from France (24 Rafales,4 Gowindwith TOT,1 Fremm,2 Mistrals, military communication satellite and going....)
Germany (4 Type 209 mod1400 submarines)
Russia (46 MIG 35,1 Molenia missile boat, Antey 2500,Tor m2,Buk m2, and 500 T-90 with TOT)

Russia’s T-90 tanks to be assembled under license in Egypt

MOSCOW, July 5. /TASS/. Russia’s Uralvagonzavod (UVZ) corporation will build a facility to assemble T-90S/SK tanks under license in Egypt, the company said in its 2016 report, published on Tuesday.

The report identifies among the company’s top priorities "works on territories of foreign states to create facilities for complex maintenance and repair of previously supplied equipment, including implementation of projects to create joint ventures with foreign contractors."

One of the provisions mentions "work on a project to create an enterprise to assemble T-90S/SK tanks under a license with Contractor 818," a number assigned to Egypt under the Russian state standards.

According to the source, he said that Egypt is looking at buying atleast 400-500 new build T-90s which will be constructed in Egypt. Also he mentioned about a new Active Protection System (APS) to be build in Egypt.

With the outstanding performance of the T-90MS Main Battle Tank (MBT) in Syria, the Egyptian Military might be considering purchasing the tank to add to it's already large fleet of U.S made M1A1 Abram MBT. This unofficial report was made by an Egyptian high ranking military official in an online social media platform.
According to the source, he said that Egypt is looking at buying at-least 400-500 new build T-90s which will be constructed in Egypt. Also he mentioned about a new Active Protection System (APS) to be build in Egypt.

The Egyptian Military has a large stock of American made M1 Abram Main Battle Tanks about 1100 in total all built in Egypt. Egypt might be considering the T-90MS MBT because it is light enough to be transported by its new Mistral Class Helicopter Carriers since the Abrams is too heavy to be transported by the ships,

Egypt also possess many older Russian tanks like the T-64 and T-55 tanks. It appears that Egypt is moving away from acquiring weapons from the West to Russia.

Although the Russia's T-90 main battle tank is much lighter than its American M1 with the A1 Abrams weighting in at 68 tons compared to the T-90's 48 tons. The T-90MS is the latest version of the Russian T-90 main battle tank It was first revealed in 2011. The T-90's 125mm can also fire the 9M119 "Refleks" anti-tank guided missile. The T-90 is one of the TOP TEN BEST TANK IN THE WORLD.

So there will be ToT somehow..and at first some components will be made in Egypt and progressively going up to 80-90% of the components of the Tank.. just like it has been over the yeas with the Abrams M1A1 of which Egypt has produced ~1200 ..
