We, the Pakistanis, are thoroughly enjoying this moment and the fact that India will be attending doesn't diminish this in any way.
The biggest fact that has been established by the history of Afghanistan over the last 40 years or so is that Afghanistan is Pakistan's back yard.
We have seen off the occupations of 2 superpowers in that time and established that we are capable and willing to enforce our interests regardless of the size of the challenge or the power of the aggressor.
If the Indians are feeling up to it, they are welcome to come and challenge Pakistan in Afghanistan to see if they can do any better than the Americans.
Unless, of course, the Indians are happy just to be a witness to what is a victory for Pakistan.

India shares no border with Afghanistan and you're left at the mercy of the neighboring countries Pakistan and Iran. The former is a no go and the latter feels betrayed so good luck with whatever significance you want to give to your merely courtesy presence at the summit. We know our strategic role and importance in the region and so does the USA as reiterated by Trump in Modi's own hometown. There's all the reason for us, Pakistani's to consider it a diplomatic victory.

Listen smart arse, its Pakistan who played a pivot role to get the deal done. Even a kid, knows it. We are playing low and seriously even if don't visit, wont matter to us since every stakeholder involving in this deal knows Pakistan's hand. Future of this deal depends upon Pakistan's will as well.

This is an American peace deal, Qatar is a neutral host. Involving the regional players was always part of Khalizad's approach. He can invite who he wants.
