Qatar Airways to buy PIA

Why would Pakistan want to sell its National carrier to another country?.

It would be best to make the state owned company a public-private partnership (public-51% and private-49%) . This would help improving the efficiency of the carrier. It would also help to hire as a consultant in management from emirates/ethihad/qatar with a profit sharing basis. This would really help the PIA.

And should not? PIA need an investor who can induct huge 2/3 billion dollars in buying new aircrafts.

Why this uproar on PIA? earlier PTCL went to Etisalat and KESC to Abraj both UAE based companies.
