is there something inherently wrong with pakistanis, i've experienced many cultures, indian people can be cowardly by nature yet they have not gone to the extent of butchering each other the way many people in Pakistan have. even among tribes in africa no one has ever gone to the level of animal like butchery against there own family, there have been cases where a mother in pakistani cuts the throat of her child because she fell in love, a mother burns her daughter after she fell in love, you have cases where a school teacher is burnt alive because she turned down a marrage proposal from her work collegue, you have a father who shot dead her daughter and her lover when they both came home for the fathers blessing, you have family who have killed there own daughters because a video was uploaded on to the web of them dancing in the rain(they were fully dressed). You have cases where a mother and her kids are killed in cold blood by there own maternal family because she married the wrong guy? i can go on and on most the cases i've described happened in the last 2 months. Pakistan culture is downright backwards. no one is willing to take a stand, you have fake apostles like imran khan who people rally around yet he cant do a damn thing about this.

My question is : How many guys in Pakistan doing same acts or even worse compare to what Qadaeel Bloch did will face death from women/men of their families because they bring shame and disgrace for family? When you bring religion and morality then why dont apply it equally on men as well? Why honour just revolve around women? Men smoke cigarette and even shars is fine while women smoking would make her bad woman or prostitute. Answer is simple. Pakistani society did not evolved and they still have same concept of morality/honour which existed in the past i.e pre martial affairs are considered evil, dating or sleeping before marriage is not norm and displaying yourself the way Qandeel did is considered taboo or bad behaviour in our society and its mostly immoral acts of girls which bring discussion for others and shame for family while men doing same thing get away with it most of the times which is very hypocrite as religious/cultural morals should apply equally to everyone irrespective of gender..When emotions take over sanity then they cannot even think what they are doing. I also criticised qandeel for her stupid attention seeking behaviour on facebook and she acted like psycho but no one give anyone right to kill her no matter how strong disagreement you had for her ways of life.

At the time of Independence both India and Pakistan started the journey with the same baseline of having many social issues. I cannot speak for Pakistan, but in the case of India , the Abolition of Zamindari system has given a death blow to the feudalistic forces. This was followed up with many laws like Dowry Prohibition Act.

Enacting an act itself does not resolve the issue at hand immediately but a strong law deters one from indulging in the act of crime and ensures that over a generation it gets resolved.

I miss her too. That news really did tore me apart. When i was defending her, i was defending myself too. I am not perfect either, but no person deserve to die like that, certainly not before the time. To think we are not going to see her again, i cannot imagine that.

It sure has nothing to do with religion. It is the cave mentality of men to think women as honor. Women are not honor, they are people. This is a curse in India too.
