Japan isn't hostile to Russia because of the US. If that were true they wouldn't be close to Iran. Japan resents Russian control of the Kuril islands.

We resents India's control of Jammu Kashmir too. You know how good our relations are!!

Iran's relation with Russia is not simple, otherwise, they would be in CSTO. Japan is doing great by discussing situation for peace. India and Pakistan should learn a lesson from it. But yes, Japan is somewhat hostile to Russia because of US and its increased cooperation with China.
